"I booked this place knowing little other than it was close enough to Cardiff for us to stay after the Bruce Springsteen concert. 18 Nov 2019LIbrary needs reviving but not likely as in many things about Newport the proximity of Cardiff limits whats on offer although OK for sports, shopping OK but not great for it's size, not sure why Megabus bypasses it but OK for National Express & rail.

31 Oct 2019Vastly changed for the better since my last visit in the 80s. San Remo Italian Restaurant is excellent as is the Red Fort in Caerleon. Railway Station is a short walk away so don’t bother driving into Cardiff: the train is far less hassle.
