We liked the jungle atmosphere and its location. 3 Parks in the same complex including the everyday visited and full Xcaret Park just 10 minutes away from our room. Good for our family week vacations.

The Resort grounds are beautiful & the Resort staff were friendly & attentive. The multiple options of food was great, we just did not like that we had to make reservations . When excursions are made ,no one truly knows an exact time when they will return-any delays can happen therefore it should be first come first serve. We also did not like the enforced dress code of pants at most of the restaurants. No one likes to bring or wear pants in over 100 degree weather with the humidity at a tropical location. Dressy shorts should be allowed for the men to wear as well. Our room #21226 -also had a couple issues- our restroom did not have a shower glass door which would cause alot of water to spill out so we had to use our towels to place on floor to keep from slipping coming out the shower. We reported it the next morning and they informed us they were going to fix it but it never happened during our 7 night stay. On the 4th day when we went to ask status about the door then and only then they offered to move us to another room but by that time we had too much all over the room to be packing up everything again to move to another room, that should have been offered from the moment we reported the issue. Our thermostat also did not allow us to lower it further than 19 when our other family members who stayed in Bldg 22 had 3 rooms and they all said they were able to lower their thermostat to 16. It was a couple nights that it was hot and somewhat uncomfortable to sleep at night.

Pros: trees, animals, pools, staff, large property, lobby décor, direct access to Xcaret park (great perk!), large dining buffet areas, drinks, family friendliness, room size Cons: salesy concierges in the buildings is annoying, food is "ok" but not great, room bathrooms could use some TLC/improvements, power was out for 1-2 hours at a time, hot water was out for a while too. Overall: I'd say it's a good value for the money spent! Kids loved it! Having the room that included unlimited Xcaret access was a bonus, as we went there 4 days on that alone.
