But also, comparatively, it's also the cheapest I've been to. So consider the price and value, maybe it's still better than some of the other brands."

"Lovely two day stay at the Villa in Sanya, away from any crowds and a nice beachfront mostly to ourselves. Breakfast was quite good even if dinner on-site was more average, but quite close to downtown Sanya so plenty of local dining options within easy reach. Very pleasant little retreat!"

The staff were sweet and try very hard, but few speak English so that presents a few challenges. The breakfast was ridiculously expensive, so we opted to buy fresh fruit from the market across the street every day -- yummy mangoes, bananas, melons, jack fruit and others. Cheap and great! Hotel food was good, but limited; mostly Chinese options. Bar menu was the best choice for us...
