"The breakfast is truly an amazing value!! Such an abundance of healthy, hearty food for 500 yen. The bath is quite nice! The lobby and lounge areas are super swanky, too! The single-person room was good enough for me! A complementary snack and teabags, with a hot water pot and a pitcher of ice water provided. Very polite and kind staff at checkin, breakfast, and checkout. They also held my luggage for the day after checkout."

"This is such a beautiful Onsen with an incredibly kind staff. We took a gamble in coming up to Tendo during our 2.5 week trip to Japan, and this stay easily became the highlight of our trip. We stayed in the suite with a hot tub in the balcony, and the room was spacious, clean, and traditional. The breakfast had a variety of choices, and the dinner (separate charge) was delicious with locally sourced food. Give this place a try, you’ll feel refreshed after your stay!"

"The Onsen/hot mineral baths were terrific and well laid out. The staff was polite and welcoming. With more foreign tourism Japanese hotels need better prepared English speakers; the staff here had no one really fluent in English. This was especially bad in the restaurant. Also, unless you are an adventurous foodie, I don’t recommend getting half board. Too much food (courses) at dinner and very very traditional Japanese. Breakfast is also traditional Japanese. Great stay
"We were in town for pokemon go fest and the hotels were mostly sold out when we went to book. I am glad they were because this hotel was fabulous for our stay. If you are a pogo player, there are 6 pokestops and a gym reachable from the hotel ;). The room was small (which is why we were worried about it) but it is japan, so most rooms are small. Also it ended up being just fine, they make the space work well. Staff were friendly and they have most of the toiletries and other things you might need just up front that you can grab easily. Very walkable (only a few blocks) from the main JR train station, as well as there being a subway entrance right in front of the hotel if you prefer that."
