Hotel were very accommodating & helpful with my bicycle, arranging airport transfer etc & storing my bike box for the 4 weeks of my trip. Has a nice lobby to wait in too. Close to the C...stream which is a good landmark.

Hotel Rian is at an excellent location close to many great neighborhood's in downtown Seoul and to the subway line. Our room was clean, although we found it would get quite damp due to the open set up of the bathroom/shower area. Altogether great stay and staff were friendly and available!

A decent place to stay
The hotel is located at a good location. It is not difficult to find. It is a few minutes walk from the airport limousine stop (a little more time if you are going to the airport direction) and the subway station. The room was not as large as it showed on the website. However, I think it was ok since I only had one suitcase. If you have 2 big suitcases, it might not be enough. The room is clean and neat. The hotel provides towels, a toothbrush, and 2 bottles of water every day. The hotel was warm even though the A/C (which also works as a heater) was not on. If you are going during winter, it should still be ok.

Winthin walking distancce of subway.. A lot of shopping and food joint around the area.. The upsetting / irritating issue is that you have to tell reception one night before to tidy room else bed is not make, trash are not taken away, dirty tpwels are not changed. As we are not aware of this rule, we we were living in a dirty room for 3 nights. Else all other stuff are acceptable.

Room was really nice and I like the area. The business center is more a room for people to use a microwave. Only 1-2 people can use business center at a time. There's no AC. Be prepared so work in 80-90°F.

Exceptional local hotel in Seoul
Hotel Rian is excellent for our 4 night stay in Seoul. . All the staff are exceptionally friendly and polite. The services they provided were promptly when requested . The hotel location can't be better. Conveniently very short walk to Metro station which we can go everywhere in Seoul . There are a lot of local restaurants around the hotel. . There is a CU convenient store opened 24 hours right next to the hotel . This is one of the few hotels in Seoul having multiple beds for large family (we have 3 beds - one double and 2 twin beds for a family of 4). The room is also more spacious than expected with separate shower/bath tub and toilet. . Room service is very good. New towels and amenities bottled water, shavers etc are provided plenty daily . Checked in and checked out are a breeze. Highly recommended

Crew was very polite and helpful when needed ,large and smart room , restroom large and sufficient with both shower and bath ,location is right in the middle of everything , short walking to subway stations and attractions.

It was a pleasant stay with Ri.an however there was water heater issue in the morning on our second day stay in the morning. The staff attended to it promptly and it was resumed within few hours.

Two issues I experienced in room 404 Could hear all the foot steps on the floor above. Even with the aircon and TV on it's still very audible and noticable. Woke up throughout the night due to this. Secondly the aircon didn't properly cool the room, it was still very stuffy and contributed to lack of sleep. Apart from that it was a great location, close to train and bus station and easy walking distance to Myeongdong. The reception crew were lovely.

Pros: - Walking distance to Myeongdong and Gwangjang Market - Lots of nearby eateries and cafes - Separate toilet and shower - Airconditioning available during fall/autumn Cons: - Hotel slippers are not disposable - Couple of english channels only available on TV - Faucet on sink almost touches the drain. Hard to wash hands.

Great service & comfort in a slightly dated hotel
Stayed here for 8 nights for a family trip with my 1 year old son. It was great that the hotel provided a cot but the cot sides were too low which is very unsafe for young toddlers and we had to sleep him in between us. Otherwise we got a very spacious room. The hotel appears to have been recently face-lifted with modern fittings although appearing structurally old. Great service by the front desk staff who, although spoke limited English, had been extremely helpful in providing directions, hailing taxis and even helping us navigate certain Korean only e-shopping websites. It is rather peculiar, however, that they do not support food deliveries and explicitly tell you not to order online.

The room we were given smelled of sewage and we slept inhaling those gases the first night. He remote controls (tv and air con) were not properly cleaned and the bathroom had some mould. Outside the hotel was a little sketchy too. The staff however were very helpful and loved us to another room which was a little cleaner and did not have the foul smell issue. Great location A very easy to get to the main sights and to/from the airport by bus or tube

So unique and antique features .. we love the ambiance but in the smoking area theres a dog w/c we afraid of (the dog seems to be wild and hungry )
