"This is an excellent hotel in Gamla Stan. It’s not cheap but considering what it offers it is a fair price for the money. We stayed here five nights in May, 2024. During that time we experienced snow, rain, winds and warm sunshine. The hotel offered large umbrellas that fortunately protected us from those first two cold and rainy days. Our room was a Captain’s double. It was large, clean and comfortable, although the shower is small. The bed was very comfortable and the room seemed soundproof...

"Great hotel, excellent staff, wonderful room. Only issue (not the hotel’s problem) is that the beautiful park across the street had ugly fencing around it destroying the beauty of the flowers. "

"Very good hotel choice in old town near palace and other landmarks. About half a mile walk from train station, so if you come to town by train or would like to take a day tour to other towns, this is also a good spot to consider."

"This is in the center of Gamla Stan. We got a corner room and it’s pretty big. We were there early May and weather was warm so we had the windows open. With the windows open, it was a little lou, early evening so I had to use ear plugs. The hotel is like a little museum, so cute. The receptionists are all very nice and helpful. I love the location of this hotel, cleanliness, size of room, breakfast, and staff and moderately priced 👍"

"My partner and I stayed at the Berns Hotel for a long weekend in May and could not have been happier. The room was beautifully appointed, the bed was incredibly comfortable, the hotel breakfast was absolutely delicious, the hotel location was perfect, and most of all, the staff was incredibly gracious, kind, attentive, and helpful -- up there with the best service we've received at any hotel ever.
