For my first time in Tokyo this hotel was ok, I would definitely look at budget friendly hotels outside of Shinjuku. It’s an area you want to visit for a day/night not stay. The hotel room was small, no surprise there, and although it didn’t look dirty, the second I stepped foot into the room I felt itchy and the bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. I’m not sure if I was allergic to something in the room but it didn’t make for a great stay personally.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms and facilities were clean. Location close to the Metro station made it easy to get around Tokyo. Convenience stores were in abundance and there’s a great gyoza restaurant across the road that I highly recommend!

Polite staff that were able to speak english were such a relief! I stayed on the 11th floor and booked 5 nights. The room is a bit small compared to western style rooms but I think it is enough for me. The amenities and hospitality that APA provided me was very generous. The main selling point of this hotel is its proximity to Shinjuku station. It is only a short 500m walk east. If I come back to Japan again in the future, APA Hotels and Resorts will be my choice again.
