"Property was lovely, staff kind and room was immaculate. However, they refused to allow us to check in before 3 pm, even though we arrived after an overnight flight at 10 am. I offered to pay for early checkin and they said no rooms were cleaned. We were exhausted and had to wait in the lobby for hours, along with several other guests in the same situation. This hotel is used by many cruise passengers who are coming from overseas so they must realize their guests will arrive after long flights....

The hotel is really lovely and super dog friendly with welcome treats and a little pup pack of goodies in the room. The staff made such a fuss of Zoey dog. Really lovely people. "Staff were super and the bed and pillows were amazing. Our room had air con, which was turned off when we arrived. It was extremely hot. Full sun had been on the room all day and it was like an oven. We turned the air con on and didn't make much difference. We did not sleep at all well We checked out early at 7.30 am as we we had to look after our grandchildren . We were not able to have breakfast which we had paid for as they didn't start service until 8.30 am All doors were locked...

Good location with comfy beds.
"Perfect bed for the night. Hotel is a little old and dates. Could do with some modernisation. Our 1st surprise was the shower curtain. These have long time. Time for a screen Holiday Inn! Beds were comfy. Breakfast was carnage!! Tables could not be cleaned up fast enough. I understand there is a shortage of staff in hospitality in the UK. They were really trying their best. I would stay here again just for the comfy bed and the convenience."
