“Was clean and smelled clean but the power went out while getting out of the shower and almost tripped.”

“Mold in our room- both in the wall and up in the window ledge. Front desk was slow and very unhelpful. Placed us in an incorrect room from what we paid for and then wouldn’t switch us. Eventually did, and then that room had mold. AC barely cooled the bedroom and didn’t cool the rest of the room at all.”

“I would recommend this property highly. The decoration is soothing and rustic, the rooms are very nice and breakfast gives a variety of choices. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only down item is the height of the stools in the bathrooms, they are very short. My 5' 2" companion said that she felt like she was sitting on a child's potty and I am considerably taller & felt like my knees were up under my chin. I am a senior and I had trouble getting off the toilet when I was finished.”

“Second time staying here, and will choose Tru Hilton again next visit. PROS: free breakfast, indoor pool access, noon check-out time is a major plus, clean rooms and helpful staff. CONS: The bed pillows hurt my neck.”

“Our room was not ready after 8pm when we arrived to check in. They then stated it was and we checked and it still wasn't. We left and went elsewhere.”

“I was surprised to find out there was no elevator. Rooms were ok, but are getting tired. Found daddy long legs around the heater. Air conditioning was load and a little confusing to figure out. Breakfast was ok, all the foods, like the eggs, were heared in a bag in a microwave. The. Chopped up and put out for serving. Staff was very nice though and location was very good for EAA”

“The hotel was pretty nice, the Wave restaurant in particular was awesome. The indoor pool felt a bit dated, but my kids still enjoyed it. The outdoor pool was super nice and we spent a decent amount of time there. The grounds were very well maintained and the views of the lake were spectacular of course. The staff was pleasant enough for the most part. We were just a bit disappointed with our room, it felt relatively small and dated, however it wasn't really where we spent most of our time, so……

“This place was so rundown I cannot believe I paid the rate I paid for it on a Monday evening. I paid less for my nice hotel in Vegas over the weekend. Everything was falling apart and just felt yucky. The bed was clean and comfortable, but literally everything else was in disrepair. The luggage cart, the ac, the bathroom. There was a plunger just sitting next the to toilet. There’s a “rec room” but even the pool tables cost money and felt like a money grab rather than an amenity. There was……

“Poor outdoor signing for the hotel. Everything seemed dirty to me. When they gave us the key cards the sleeve they gave us was dirty!! No ice bucket! No really pleased at all.”

“I booked a stay planning for a possible extra guest and two small dogs which could not make it. I loved the fact that the hotel is dog-friendly. Without the extra guest and doggies, however, the room felt underwhelming, and one of the beds had a very weak and creaky mattress that should have already been retired. All amenities were adequate, and the young man at the front desk upon arrival was excellent, but overall, the hotel did not really rise to its nightly rate, imo.”

“Property was dated and dirty. Breakfast consisted of store bought muffins and waffles and sugar coated cereal. Stayed there because it had a 4.7 rating on Expedia and was the best priced in the area. On a good note the pool area was nice and the room ac worked great.”
