“We loved our jungle experience here. We saw a cassowary when we first parked! The staff was helpful, the communal kitchen was always clean and the common area was a great place for the kids to play games while we chatted. A must do for travellers wanting a unique experience in the Daintree.”

“Outstanding lodge in a nature reserve with great facilities and friendly helpful staff. The chalet accommodation was spotless, comfortable and very well equipped, and the location in the nature reserve was great. The food in the restaurant was excellent. Only stayed one night, but wish we had stayed at least one more. Having said that, it was not cheap, but good value for what was on offer.”

“Cape Tribulation is a very unique and special location. It’s certainly worth exploring and staying the night. The cabin was clean and the ensuite was large and clean. It was ideal having the ensuite because it was raining and although the amenities weren’t far, it wouldn’t have been unpleasant having to leave the comfort of your room to shower or use a toilet. Perhaps the price is up there, but I guess it’s fairly remote. Staff friendly, pub across the road made lovely pizza.”

“Old hotel, but well maintained. No elevator, and a deep jetted tub for a shower that would be difficult for someone older or anyone with mobility issues to get in and out of. The room included some basic kitchen supplies which was nice. Excellent location for exploring the town or 4 mile beach. Car park was convenient”

“This was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had. We arrived, anticipating an attractive and heated pool. We discovered a very dirty, shabby out of date pool that was cold. After much communication with Expedia, the owners of the hotel turned up the temperature on the pool. Unfortunately, because the hotel was listed as a four-star hotel, but was maybe at least a 2 1/2 star or three star hotel, we decided to go somewhere else. “The room was super spacious, big comfy bed, really nice bathroom, had everything we needed and there was a pool! Also, there was a shared kitchen next to the pool, if you wanted to go all out and cook your own food, otherwise, you had the necessities in your room. Super lovely staff also, very friendly and lovely to talk to.”
