Stayed in a studio facing the street behind, fairly noisy. Spa has had its day, water cold before finished filling. Beds comfortable enough. There are dvds to borrow downstairs however the batteries in our dvd player had rusted/iodised into the remote and we couldn’t use it. One thing to mention if you’re wanting a quiet day by the pool, the constant waterfall into the pool is actually very noisy! First world problem but annoying if you like quiet.

Old hotel, but well maintained. No elevator, and a deep jetted tub for a shower that would be difficult for someone older or anyone with mobility issues to get in and out of. The room included some basic kitchen supplies which was nice. Excellent location for exploring the town or 4 mile beach. Car park was convenient

Kim and James and Amanda could not have been any more helpful. So friendly and knowledgeable. Regal is in a great location at the beach end of the main shopping strip on Macrossan Street and a short walk from Four Mile Beach. We look forward to returning.

Can park under building but parked out in street plenty of room. Safe to walk around at night. Close to great food n drinks n music entertainment. Room spacious and everything you could want. Toaster, plates, knives, forks, jug. Big spa bath n day bed on verandah overlooking beautiful pool. Great if u don't have trouble with stairs as no lifts. Even found an ice machine n pool views as you walk through foyer. Will definitely be back.

The room we were given was very small. It definitely shouldn't be advertised as a studio apartment. We were there for a week and expected a microwave or a cooktop to make some meals. There was nothing, nor was there any inside table to sit down to eat. We had two large suitcases which could only be put on the floor and for us to step over. One in front of the bed and the other in the bathroom. We did find an outside bbq to cook on but had to eat our steak on a plate on our bed. There was no sink to wash our plates and cutlery in except the bathroom basin. The balcony that was advertised had no view as it was screened with plants. It was also taken up with a sand pit that took up all the space. The tv also could only be viewed from the bed and took up the space in front of our door so it had to be moved every time we opened the door.

We had a great stay at the Regal. It was very quiet during the low season so we were lucky enough to have the pool to ourselves most days. Great facilities at the pool (fridge, BBQ) and the room had everything we needed (plates, bowls and cutlery, and two bath towels each plus swimming towels for the pool/beach). Excellent location, everything in walking distance. Highly recommend!

The location of the hotel was excellent right in the middle of Port Douglas can walk everywhere. The main part of the room was quite small so it felt very cramped with our luggage. The bathroom was large, and the shower was very comfortable. The one major drawback for us was that there was a lot of scares climbing up and down to the second floor. Due to our very large and full luggage, it was very difficult climbing up and down.
