“We stayed four nights in one of the king cabins and had a fantastic stay. The cabin was better than some hotel rooms - had lovely furnishings, air con and the bathroom was superb. The site is also right on the doorstep of the national park. Would recommend to anyone wanting to spend a few nights in the area.”

“Modern apartment, great deck. Modern amenities washer/dryer. Straight out the door to the water, great cafe right outside. Only 1 downfall there were people outside drinking and very loud until midnight at the bar behind us ”

“A really nice backpackers hostel. The rooms were well put together and warm during the winter. Lots of space in the kitchen and lounge and bathrooms are being renovated. Staff were really helpful and hospitable - I'd stay here again, for sure. One of the most comfortable places I have stayed on my trip through NZ.”

“We arrived and were personally greeted by Steve. I’ve been too many accommodations in my life and I have never had a host like Steve. He was absolutely superb. We originally planned to stay for two nights and because of the.Bonhomie of the place we stayed a total of six days and five nights. We would have stayed all the way to the end of our trip. This was an unexpected find and you have a really open mind. I highly recommended to book this place. Just remember, it’s not the faint heart. ”
