Room could use a little TLC with things like a broken soap dish in the shower, but we are an active outdoor couple and don't need grand comfort. You are in the tropical jungle so expect bugs. The voice of the jungle speaks at night. As we are active travelers we spent much time exploring the island and scuba diving , then would come back to our room to cool off in the pool and relax with the million dollar view! “First of all, mosquitoes devour me. I stayed at the Loyalton many times and never had mosquitoes bite me. The breakfast didn't do it for me. The shower was cold, no lotion for your body, and the place didn't do it for me. Never again. I didn't like it.”

“Great place if you want to escape crowds of grand anse, amazing view from the pool and tasty breakfast. It is conviniently located if you want to explore northern part of the island. Be prepared for mosquitos and small flies”

“I genuinely enjoyed my 7 nights at Hillview Apartments. It is perfectly located to the places I needed to get to. The ladies were very helpful and assisted me with booking my Island Tour and Dinner at Dexters! The icing on the cake was definitely returning to my room the night of April 5 (my Birthday) to find a complimentary massage token on my bed! That intimate element definitely spoke volumes! I will definitely be back to the Spice Isle and I would definitely stay at Hillview again.🙏”

“Our room was cleaned daily by a committed housekeeping staff. Lorene & Ingrid were exceptional, warm and friendly. They were limited by the lack of resources. Gem is conveniently located on a beach, however the rooms are showing their age and it is clear that management has not invested in updating the room in a very long time. Basic things like a running toilet tank, having to hold the lever to get the toilet to flush, a refrigerator that leaks, all reflect the lack of intention to the small……
