“Older motel but well maintained. Recent fire destroyed one of the three buildings but manager says a rebuild will be starting shortly.”

“Great rustic lodging. Helpful and friendly host. Beautiful area and close to many hiking trails in parks and preserves. Highly recommended if you want simple, rustic lodging with comfortable accommodations (nice bed, everything needed for a compact kitchen to prepare meals, and nice picnic table for eating outdoors). ”

“Very rustic with a HUGE emphasis on hunting. There were bear, turkey and antlers mounted on the wall. The place was a nice size. It was nice to have the bathroom down the hall from the bedroom. The living room couches and bed were comfy. Some of the fixtures weren't quite right. The antler chandeliers had cob webs, the sink had a hole where the sprayer was supposed to go, and the outlets weren't all secure in the wall. There was a lot of junk outside the cabin and we had to use our own towels……

“Sweet coastal themed cottage. Enjoyed watching deer and turkeys and picking blueberries along the dead end road. Away from crowds. Peaceful retreat with great views nearby. Two lobster shacks to eat at nearby, Bell Buoy and Lunch on the Wharf. Winkled Pickle was good too. ”

“My wife and I felt very lucky to have found The Miners Den which is a very new creation of a great proprietor who really cares about your experience.The hand built cabin is gently fitted to the landscape of balsam firs and hardwoods with a light touch.It reminded me of the few small cabins in the White Mountains you find along the trails.Everything you need less food is provided.For a couple in their sixties with a friendly dog we will be excited to get back there and see what’s happening.Oh……

“We were a group of 10 family and friends, so there were plenty of beds. We found the house clean, well appointed,and stocked with everything we needed. We loved the seclusion of the spot. The roof top deck was a bonus, as we were there during the Perseids meteor shower. Away from the crowds of Acadia, the Schoodic peninsula is beautiful. Highly recommend and hope to come back! The little communication we had/needed with the prop manager was quick and courteous. As former business owner, I love……

“We really enjoyed our stay. Sandy beaches are rare for this area, and our kids had a great time exploring the rocky coastline and playing in the sand. We saw interesting wildlife, and watched the boats go in and out of the bay each day. The property was clean and well-maintained, and the owners were excellent communicators, responding right away to any questions that we had.”
