“The Avoca is located along the sea front and the foot of the Mourners mountains. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and attentive throughout our stay which was to celebrate my wife's birthday. The staff kindly presented her with a bottle of prosecco and birthday card - much appreciated. The room and bathroom were very clean and well supplied. The bed and bedding very comfortable. “The location was great as a base for the local attractions . The facilities were basic, shower looked great with nice products to use but the flow of water was poor and kept going hot and cold . The restaurant was average with mass produced food . Buffet breakfast had many options from porridge to full fry up Plenty of free parking . Some staff need further training when asked basic questions like the verity of ice cream flavours on offer the response was I'm not sure so I promoted her to go……

“Fabulous views and amazing golfing. The hotel itself is very well maintained and of a very high standard. Food for dinner and breakfast was of a very high quality. In some hotels this can all get lost if the team working there do not match those standards but, in this instance, they actually exceeded them.
