“This is a lovely guest house inside the Pingyao ancient city walls. It is convenient walking distance to major streets with attractions and restaurants, but still quiet and peaceful. Room and garden were very nice. Staff were wonderful. I was offered western breakfast which was fine, but wish I had known I could pick a local version.”

Staff were so lovely - extremely helpful and generous ! They arranged transfer to and from the railway station which was excellent . Provided a map of the city and restaurant recommendations . Very quick to use Google translate so communication was great. Highly recommend !”

“The area was generally very dirty. The entrance to the hotel was being used as a shop for Chinese girls to get dressed up and having makeup. Hence it was as you were entering a small fitting room. The staff could hardly understand a word of english, while we had to ask for very standard supplys such as toilet roles to be provided to the room.”
