「The front of house staff and waiting staff were great however, the kitchen really let down the stay. Fish and chips - fish soggy not crispy, pooling with oil and the crushed Parmesan potatoes like something you would concrete bricks together with and the local trout was so overcooked it was hard to chew it. 「What a nightmare of a place. It felt unclean upon entry to the property. There are filthy steps up to the property…good thing I don’t have a mobility problem…and the paving slab on most steps rocked dangerously. On entry the property felt immediately unclean. We could hear voices in the room ad noticed that there is an unlockable door from the bedroom into an office and we could hear an interview for a member of staff in process. We returned to the pub across the road and the same helpful...

「Lovely hotel and very helpful staff. Excellent food. Disappointed with the spa facilities, certainly not luxury. Massage rooms were in a hut next to the swimming pool. You had to walk behind the reception desk and through the swimming pool to get there. There was no relaxation room. Enjoyed the massage but for the price I had hoped for some luxury and somewhere to lie down and chill afterwards. Also you have to go through the tiny gym to get to the hot tub and if someone is using the treadmill...

「The room was clean and fresh with tea and coffee making facilities plus complimentary water which was very welcome as it was a hot day when we arrived. There is no air conditioning in the bedrooms but it was possible to open the window. The breakfast choice wasn't huge but perfectly adequate with bread and cereals and a freshly cooked hot course of our choice. Overall a really comfortable stay with a very friendly and helpful host.」
