Top notch place to stay, but what makes it special is the bucolic environment within which it sits. Drinks and dinner across the narrow road, with waiting staff navigating the occasional logging truck is not something you see everyday, made for a very memorable summer evening.

Such a beautifully located, airy and relaxed hotel. The food was great, as was the service. Relaxed, but professional would be a great way to describe the Hafod. If you can stretch to it, the Pumlumon has the most incredible views across the valley (as I believe all of the front facing suites do), but the room, and especially the bed was ultra luxurious! I won't even mention the bath...... Thanks for a wonderful few days!

Lovely hotel. We ate there on both evenings as there was a comprehensive menu and a good choice of gluten free options. Our only slight negative was the walk to and from the car park with heavy suitcases.

Great hotel with very helpful staff and beautiful views over devils bridge valley. Food was great with great choices available. Walking distance from Vale of Rheidol steam train that takes you to aberystwyth.

Really liked it here beautiful views of the valley. Friendly staff and locals. enjoyed the food in the restaurant. Breakfast and dinner was great only grip was the coffee wasn't very good.

The staff were excellent. Very friendly and accommodating. My partner and I stayed for our birthday (yes we have the same birthday!) and they decorated the room and left us a few freebies. Extremely kind of them!

From arriving to departure the owner and staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. We went B&B, plus evening meal, which was well worth it. Big mention to three of the staff Will, Osian “Fish” and Willow who really went out of their way to make sure our 3 night stay was very memorable. Will definitely be trying the sister hotel in Dolgellau in the near future.

The location and venue were excellent. The staff and food were brilliant... BUT, the wifi and TV in our room didn't work and the staff seemed to be unable to help based on technical reasons. Otherwise a great stay!!!

The staff and hotel are fabulous. They were celebrating the 10th anniversary of being in business yet my room looked like it was newly decorated. Both the dinner she breakfast I had were tasty and well presented. The staff were always helpful and attentive. There was even a secure shed where I could store my bike overnight. The room was well appointed with toiletries and drinks. The bed was really comfy. I'd definitely return and will recommend others go and visit too.

Enestående beliggenhed. Værelse og bad levede op til forventningerne, Sengen var behagelig. Vi savnede en elevator. Der er mange trapper og snirklede gange op til 3. sal. så det er besværligt at slæbe bagagen op. Belønningen er de smukke omgivelser med skov og vandfald. Gps' en foreslog at dreje i Capel Bangor før byen Pontewy. Det kan vi ikke anbefale. Det er en smal vej.
