“It was a perfect little cabin. Had everything we needed”

“Kitchen very well stocked, bed and linens good, cute exterior and interior. Bathroom lighting inadequate and bathroom sink tiny and recessed behind mirror - awkward. Instructions for the TV remote would have been helpful - we were not able to figure out how to change channels, It was too cold to experience the inviting Firepit and seating inside the wrought iron fenced patio. All in all a charming unique property.”

“MY ADVICE IS LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR LODGING! The cabins are currently under construction, unkept, dirty and not private.The property owners/managers are a no show to whom you have to communicate via text message. Wi-fi is non existent, most cabins are duplexes (not exactly the peaceful getaway that one would expect for the price point) the spa, hot tub and sauna are defunct (which are advertised directly on their site) Nothing about this location justifies the 3x per night cost compared to……

“This is a very well maintained and thoughtfully furnished and decorated cozy cabin close to everything but tucked away down a gravel road providing a sense of privacy set in a naturally rugged Black Hills landscape with beautiful starry dark night time skies. It is very pet friendly, has very comfortable beds, and is very clean. We would definitely stay there again! ”

“We had plenty of space for our four kids and their spouses as well as me and my mom. It has a fantastic layout with bathrooms between two rooms on both sides and basement area. It has everything that you need to stay! ”

“We enjoyed our stay at the Papoose. Pat (the owner) was great with her communication. Our biggest objection to the cabin is the sleeping arrangements in the loft and the bathroom on the main level. We were aware of this when we booked but, being older, we didn't appreciate what a problem this presented for us at night.”
