Great place

Really lovely place to stay for the week while all the family were up fishing. House had everything we needed and really nicely furnished. Views were gorgeous. Looking forward to next year already!

Fantastic base to relax and explore Moray

Our experience of Lilyfield and our stay in Moray was superb. We were fortunate to have been blessed with sunshine all week and the location, privacy, fantastic scenery, modern design and open layout of the property really helped to make a most enjoyable stay.

Lovely, spacious house, amazing location

A very modern and lovely located house, surrounded by beautiful nature. We will definitely come back! The owner sells also very high quality beef from their farm, highly recommended to try!

Myself, my husband and 3 children (20, 18 & 16yrs) just spent the most amazing 2 weeks at this beautiful holiday home (Aug 2025). It was spotlessly clean when we arrived, it is beautifully decorated, is extremely quiet, has stunning views and is well equipped with everything you need in the kitchen for self catering. It is a 7min drive to the closest village of Aberlour, where there is a well stocked co-op, a small hotel and a couple of bars and shops. It is a 25min drive to bigger supermarkets in Elgin. This area is perfect for exploring the beautiful Scottish countryside, with loads of great walk,s hikes, castles and train journeys to explore. I would highly recommend this property for a great relaxing vacation.

awesome vacation spot

the location is beautiful, right in the middle of the scotch valley, Claire is a wonderful host. I highly recommend the steaks and lamb chops from the animals raised on the farm. We will definitely return to this property. Thanks again for everything Claire Best regards Costin & co

Cottage in the Highlands

Lilyfield was amazing. Everything you needed for a relaxing stay. Views from the cottage are breath taking. Enjoyed sitting outside in the fresh air hearing the sheep in the fields. Claire was a most gracious host and assured we had everything we needed. Highly recommend staying if you are in the area.

Christmas at Lilyfield

Lilyfield is a beautiful detached property in the perfect rural spot with great views of the surrounding countryside. The house was a joy to spend time in and the spacious accommodation provided the perfect retreat for our family Christmas get together. Thank you Claire - you are a fabulous host.

Property was great.Everything was clean and inviting. Comfy beds. Everything available in kitchen. We loved the location, good walks in the area. Flies were a bit of a problem but probable due to the surrounding area, nothing to do with the property. Would not put us off staying again.

An oasis of calm and whisky

Had a great time with three other retired gents. One of whom confessed half way through to not liking the amber nectar! Second time for me in Lilyfield. Still as good as ever.

Great Christmas Week!

This house is really fantastic and well equipped with all things you need for a comfortable time. It´s fun to cook in the big open kitchen, to look out of the big windows into the great Scottish landscape with hills and sheep or just to relax at the wood-fired oven. Especially if there is snow as we had in the Christmas week 2017. All rooms are decorated very stylishly. Three of the bedrooms have their own bathrooms which is very pleasent. There are only few houses around. If you have a question you can always call Claire, who is living in the farm house some hundred meters away. She is very kind and helpful! We all would have liked to stay longer and will come back if possible! Families from Germany & Manchester

Aberlour stay

Property was in a nice location, but had a few faults, not any known signal, then for one of the 3 days we stayed there was no WiFi either from 11.30 in the morning until the next morning which was the day that we left which didn’t help out of if our guests with his work that we had to get done for the following morning, we got told it was going to get sorted asap and it will be back up and running when possible, but that didn’t seem to happen at all boiler/hot water at times was a hit and miss, lack of toilet roll was another, and some of the plates not totally clean when we turned up, overall was a nice place but but utterly disappointed at what went wrong whilst we where there

Great spot!

This is a very modern, comfortable, warm dry home which is well appointed and perfect for an adult family reunion. Plenty of space, well equipped kitchen, lovely outlook and views and very relaxing home.

Great place

Lovely spacious property in a great, tranquil, quiet, scenic location. Slightly off the beaten track so ideal for those who value privacy and don't mind hearing much noise apart from the nature around them. Met Claire only only on the last day and she was very friendly.

Accommodation Description

This is a very pleasant modern property in a beautiful location while being easy to access from the main road into Aberlour. The property is well equipped and in theory suited our party of 70 plus year olds on a fishing holiday. However the description of the bedrooms and bathrooms was difficult to interpret and did no meet our needs as well as we had hoped. Photos of one bedroom showed two single beds which would have been fine for us, but the reality was that one bed had been removed and replaced with childrens bunk beds; not ideal for us! Although there is another 4th bed room it required the negotiation of 2 staircases and the full length of the house to reach the family bathroom. Not ideal for us oldies. For a more agile young family this is a very nice holiday home with the added benefit of a property manager close at hand should you need help and they sell lovely fresh eggs at the farm. All of the above made life a little difficult for our party of 3 couples and would have been much more difficult if we had arrived with an extra couple as had been a possibility.

Getting Away From it All.

A beautiful property with amazing views and so very peaceful.. The property is very well equipped and comfortable and the owner very helpful. You can even purchase excellent farm produce for your barbecue. Plenty of interesting and scenic walks nearby and a short drive from the coast. Fabulous!

Traumhafte Unterkunft !!!

Das Haus und auch die Gastgeberin Claire sind phantastisch . Die Lage hat uns direkt zur Ruhe kommen lassen . Ausflüge sind von dort wunderbar möglich . Die Ausstattung des Hauses ist auf höchstem Niveau . Es wird nicht der letzte Besuch dort gewesen sein . Gäbe es sechs Sterne in der Bewertung . Diese würde es geben .
