「The property is well set up and very comfortable. The hosts were very helpful, too. The location is ideal for exploring the local area and the towns of Ludlow and Shrewsbury. 「We like walking and there were plenty of remote footpaths and bridle paths all to ourselves. Also the property was ideally situated for visits to north Wales where there were more nice walking paths up hills, across farmland and to remote castles. We hope to come back to this friendly location.」

「This is our 8th stay here. It's a lovely lodge in a peaceful, rural setting with a few other lodges surrounding it. It is really well equipped, comfortable an excellent find. We originally came for the steam railway that's nearby but our son lives close by so it's convenient for visiting. Jan and Paul are great hosts, nothing to much trouble and it's always spotless.」

「On arrival we were greeted with a warm welcome, shown to our lovely Shepherds Hut, it was clean and tidy, nothing was too much trouble for us. The pub was so welcoming, and the food was just amazing, good home cooked food! Overall we had a lovely, peaceful weekend with our collies, lots of walks and fresh air, good food and wonderful accommodation. We would definitely recommend and will most definitely stay there again.」

Minor issue to take care of otherwise a nice stay!
"A little remote, but in a nice environment. Nice and cosy, and run by a old couple. The only drawback for an overall top marks is because of the shower, although it is newly installed, it is difficult to operate and the water pressure is somewhat too low to have a nice shower. The worst part is the wall inside the shower cubicle is dirty but consider the old couple are working hard to run the hotel and also the nice letters restaurants, so it is not a complaint, just would like to point it out for improvement in the future."
