The Funky Monkey Inn is now a Bed and Breakfast, but this property was once an art gallery. It was later turned into a gift shop, and then finally bought by the previous owner and turned into a guest house with a twist. They added three more rooms to the existing structure making six total rooms. The owner was passionate about movies and commissioned a Florida artist to make movie-themed doors. Each room is decorated to match the movie theme, and no expense was spared. It is truly something to see. Come let our Innkeeper pamper you. You will not find a better location to enjoy all the amenities on Monkey Island and Shangri-La. We also have a massive 1500 sqft basement with a movie room and a poker room if you just want to stay at the house and relax.

We love the wrap-around porch and hot tub. We also love closing the drapes and sleeping as late as we want!

We are within walking distance from Shabangs and Big Shots. These are fantastic places if you are looking for a nice dinner or Karaoke fun and nightlife. The Shangri-la clubhouse is only a mile away if you have booked golf for your trip. We are located between the 27-hole golf course and the new par three Battlefield course. If golf isn't your thing you can rent a boat and jet skis at the Shangri-la Marina. If you are looking for somewhere fun to go as a group. The Anchor is about two miles down the street. They have pickleball, tennis, basketball, whiffle ball, pool tables, ping pong tables, shuffleboard, golf/shooting simulation games, an arcade, a sports bar and much more. Great in the summer, winter, and on a rainy day.
