The property was beautiful. When we opened our curtains the next morning you could see the pool and the lake in the background. So beautiful!! My only thing I would change is adding a place for people to charge their phones that forgot their box and only had their cord. That’s the only thing otherwise it’s perfect

Not a large selection of much of anything close by but that’s because the whole resort is sort of at the end of a peninsula. Had to drive 25 miles into town to get a phone cord, but I expected that. The facility is fabulous and the golf course is amazing!!! Just bring everything you need and you’ll be awe inspired.

This property is super quiet this time of the year, the rooms could be upgraded. The toilets need soft close lids and the showers are full of rust around the facets. The rooms are very small, but again super quiet this time of the year.

We’ll stay here again!
Our room, the lobby, the restaurant, everything was immaculate & the staff was friendly & welcoming. The mattress was quite firm—a cushioned mattress topper would have made a better night’s sleep. No complaints, but a comment about a goofy component of our stay—the closet only had 1 hanger. I’m certain that had we asked for more we would have received them. My very favorite thing was that there were multiple hooks in the bathroom for our towels, and we rarely get that in newer hotels.

I hope you like your neighbors
It was odd... This place is really fancy, and the views, everything was really pretty. However, there were maybe 10 people staying at this place the night that we were there. I think they put all of us in adjacent rooms. That shouldn't be a problem, really, except for the fact that walls are super thin. We could hear both neighbors loud and clear, and they were honestly just being conversational. It was incredibly strange. I would likely stay here again, but I may ask to be separated from other people next time.

Our room was dirty. Took over an hour to get us switched because no cleaning staff was available. Neither phone worked in the rooms. Was given no information where anything was except the closed bar/ dining area. Was told to drive 20 minutes to Grove, Oklahoma where everything was also closed except for a few fast food chains. Also no trash bags or coffee creamers in either room.

The property is beautiful. The area on the lake is peaceful. The architectural design is quite attractive. The problem is that is breaks down in the hotel. Our 4 rooms were pointed toward the lake on the second floor. We all stared at air conditioning units and a wall. Why would they not have located these units on the ground or roof? (At least not where a beautiful view would be hidden. The people at the hotel were friendly and polite but Doc’s, the restaurant had many open tables and booths. We were still told we had to put our names on a list and they would text us. We sat for nearly an hour (with a 4 year old). We went up to ask what the problem was and the “hostess” said sorry. I sent a text. I showed her my phone - no text. All she had to do was look …. This property has potential but did not live up to expectations or frankly to what we paid.

Over the property was beautiful! People were friendly and service at the restaurant was top notch. However, our room was gross. There were several flies we couldn’t get rid off, spots on the white comforter and large streaks on the bathroom closet doors like a child had got creative with finger paints. Gross!

Planning a return visit!
I was at Shangri La for a golf tournament recently. The hotel was wonderful. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the food in Doc’s Grill was amazing (I highly recommend the burger with sweet potato fries), the pool area was so relaxing, and, of course, the golf courses are terrific!!! Some of my friends and I are hoping to do a girls trip back there soon!!
