We had wanted to visit Carcassonne for a long time - the area, and the accommodation, were perfect, and we enjoyed interesting conversations with Richard, who also recommended an excellent restaurant ten minutes' walk away. 「Villa was lovely and very well equipped. Outside space was poorer, the area around the pool was rough and unfinished. Garden at back was full of weeds. Contact with the owner was by text which was answered quickly but he was not in the country and we had no contact number for his on site representative as we missed her on arrival due to being delayed. Our first night was spent listening to a bleeping burglar alarm which we couldn’t stop and the owner was unable to help us. Fortunately it stopped...
