"We had a great stay. Hotel was sparkling clean. Lovely pool and simple but very good breakfast with freshest vegetables and feta every day. Coffee machine worked well and the options for coffee were fantastic. Plenty of parking near hotel, and a nice village and great beach in walking distance were of course what we came for. I wish we stayed even longer. "

"We had the most amazing stay from start to finish. We got there after midnight due to flight times, but were offered a guide to get us there or clear directions with a code for a key box. When we got there, the property had outside lights to guide us in and a fridge with a home cooked meal in, snacks, wine, olive oil and fruit. :-). So welcoming. The next day when we woke up we realised how beautiful the villa was and the views are just stunning. There is a twisty mountain road to get up to the villa but it’s very quiet. You’ll see more goats than cars. Take your time and enjoy the scenery and all is well. The pool was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable, the showers wonderful and it was very well equipped. The villa is within half an hour of Rethymno which is delightful. We were also within an easy drive of Knossos, Chania, Heraklion and Lake Kournas. One day however, we just stayed home and enjoyed the relaxation of the villa. :-)As we had a super late flight home and as no one was due to arrive the day we left, our hosts kindly agreed that we could stay way beyond the check out time and enjoy our last day without rushing. We stayed until 4pm and we are so appreciative of the kindness. We even received a parting gift. I cannot recommend Harkia Villas enough. Simply stunning. X. "

"Fantastic property and beautiful location. The property was just as described, beautiful quiet location close by the lovey town of Plakias. We had an amazing holiday, pool area at the villa was perfect and the local beaches offered us lots of choice. The area of Plakias is very quiet but the local town offered lots of restaurants, bars and shops. Beaches were clean, sea was great for swimming and they were not overly busy even during school holiday season. The Villas had everything we needed and the connecting balconies made it easy to move between the two properties. The drive from the airport takes you though beautiful mountain regions. We loved being away from the busier tourist areas of the North. We did 1 day trip to a Waterpark which took us 1.5 hrs to drive to. Overall the longer drive time was well worth it for the quieter and less touristy area we were in.All my interactions with the property team were great, they were very helpful and always available if we had questions. The housekeeping ladies were all very friendly and we really appreciated the extra personalised touches. We will definitely return!"
