La Tortuga #4 is located on the second level (one above the ground floor) overlooking the pool and the sparkling waters of Akumal's Half Moon Bay beyond!

This spacious and nicely appointed condo features 2 bedrooms, each with King sized bed plus the guest room has a single/individual sized bed. Both bedrooms have private bathroom with shower, and the master bedroom also has a giant sunken bathtub. There is a fold away camping style cot bed for a child or small adult should you require an extra bed.

It has a large open plan living and dining area with sliders that open out onto the terrace, affording great views out over the bay. The living room has comfortable seating and a small TV with satellite programming.

The kitchen is well equipped and includes a breakfast bar for extra dining seating. There is WiFi internet throughout the condo and air conditioning in the bedrooms.

Outside on the terrace that spans the width of the condo, are hammocks for snoozing in the warm Caribbean breeze!

Hacienda de La Tortuga boasts a very nice beach side pool, an onsite gourmet restaurant (La Lunita), and plenty of sun loungers and shady palapas on the white sandy beach in front. There is also WiFi access all the way out to the beach for those who like to stay connected while working on their tan!

Hacienda de la Tortuga is located in the northern central part of Half Moon Bay, within walking distance of plenty of amenities including the Akumal Adventures dive shop. The bay in front of the condo is great for snorkeling as the reef comes very close to the shore, and it is home to a wide diversity of marine life including endangered sea turtles!

Hacienda de la Tortuga #4 is comfortable and bright, and a perfect option for small families or groups of friends.

You won’t regret your stay.

The condo was beautiful and the kitchen was well stocked! Our baby loved the foot bath as a splash pad. But the people of the complex really made our stay special! Not mentioned in the listing but there is also an incredible restaurant attached to the condo and a coffee shop across the street. Great location!

Great stay at condo!

We had a great stay at the condo, my husband and I and another couple stayed for 9 days. Half Moon Bay is a quiet location, Akumal Bay is much more active/crowded, so depends on what type of stay you're looking for. The restaurant in the condo complex is very good. The Akumal Direct concierge, David, was extremely helpful, both before and during our stay. He arranged our shuttle from to and from the airport, a golf cart rental, a cenote excursion and a taxi to Playa for a shopping day. The sargassum grass was definitely prevalent, but it wasn't terrible in front of this condo. It was much worse on the south part of the bay. We were able to snorkel directly in front of the condo.

Quite and beautiful little town

Upon arrival I was in love with the location. You walk right out the door and you are on the beach. The house had everything that you will need for your stay. Housekeeping was super sweet they came every day to clean for us. The manager Roberto was very attentive to our questions about the little community that we were in. All of the locals that work and live there made our stay that much more special, we felt like we were at home. The local shops and food were great. We will be returning in the future and I would highly recommend this property to families.

Wonderful stay

Onsite restaurant was very nice. It was too rough for us to get in the bay, but the pool was lovely! The people who cleaned daily were fantastic!! Beds were comfortable. Loved the deck with table and hammock. There are shutters separating the master bedroom from the main room. Pretty, could not see through, but could conversations between the room. A little awkward for 2 couples sharing the space. A little extra planning required. Close enough to walk to Akumal Bay where the snorkeling in front of Secrets was awesome!! We saw turtles, rays and beautiful fish!! We enjoyed happy hour at the onsite restaurant and down the road at La Buena Vida. Would definitely recommend!

Great location, spacious and clean

This condo is located in beach community which is essentially one long road with 4-5 story condos and small hotels along one side, which all sit on the beach. This condo is on the second floor and looks out at the ocean and the pool. The beach is really nice (seaweed is cleared away daily) and there are chairs for guests to use. The condo is cleaned daily and the restaurant onsite has an eclectic menu with good food.

Third trip to Akumal Bay Area last 10 years. Stayed at Hacienda 5 nights. Everything perfect.

Beautiful condo second floor walk up. Really nice, highly recommend. Right on beach; ocean view from porch nice but patially obscured by palm trees on adjoining undeveloped lot. Sand beach, lounge chairs and shaded thatched beach tables dedicated to condo owners and guests. Is rocky once into water, but sandy area just to north. Snorkeling very good. From beach you can look out and see a dark area with inverted “V” pointing in your direction maybe 100 yards out. You can literally walk all the way out. Beautiful extensive area of coral reef with tons of fish. Jus to the right of the “V” is an area of huge “head/brain” coral. Saw turtle, stingrays, all kinds of fish, huge mantra ray that totally freaked out another person. To really explore this entire area I would recommend a life jacket, but I was the only one who wore one. Not crowded at all. We had no problem with seaweed. So many changes over last 10 years, so much more tourist interest but still a great place to kick back. If you go to Yal-Ku lagoon, make sure you get there when it opens, never crowded before when we visited, but this time when we arrived at 1:00 pm on a weekday it was packed with snorkeled who kick up sand/sediment and obscure visibility. If you like wine, go to the convenience store a few hundred yards south on the left as you are driving towards the condo, decent selection with bottle prices as low as 180 pesos. La BuenavVida restaurant maybe one kilometer south of condo right on beach fun place for breakfast, dinner or lunch but when we were there slight smell of raw sewage was a turn-off. This smell is also prevalent at certain spots while driving to condo but we never noticed it at condo. We have gone to all the restaurants, best for dinner, by far, is “Taverna”, for breakfast, “turtle bay cafe and bakery”, be careful with turtle bay meals are so huge and good that you can overindulge limiting your ability to function. We did not even go down to Akumal Bay, have so many good memories of snorkeling with turtles all around in what are now closed off areas accessible apparently at the perimeter only by high priced tour guides, did not want to ruin, also reviews of public swim are less than desirable

Fantastic Honeymoon Condo

Let me start by saying this condo lived up to all of our expectations. This was my first time staying in Mexico and my husband had only visited resorts in the past. We were looking for a condo that was more private than the resort style condos for our Honeymoon, Hacienda de la Tortuga Unit 4 did not disappoint! We like to do most of our own cooking while on vacation due to food allergies. We were able to find all the groceries we needed at the large grocery in Tulum and found all cook wear and dishes to make whatever meal we desired in the condo. Enjoying meals and cocktails on the patio was wonderful. For a great dinner out right on the beach a walk down to La Lunita for some excellent shrimp tacos. We enjoyed a moonlit dinner on our first night in Akumal that was delicious.This condo is kept spotless due to the housekeeping staff who made sure every speck of sand was removed and we were greeted with new towel animals daily. Roberto is extremely helpful about anything you may want to see or do. There is a security guard out front who checks to make sure that you are guests at the condo and also patrols the property. The grounds are well maintained and the maintenance crew is constantly removing the sea grass and keeping the beach raked. We rented some snorkel gear a short walk from the condo at Akumal Dive Adventures and snorkeled right in front of the condo, in addition, to the beautiful fish and coral, we even saw Barracuda. If relaxing on a beach without a crowd of people and enjoying breathtaking views from your own comfy condo is your idea of vacation, than Hacienda de la Tortuga Unit 4 is for you.

Enjoyed our stay in half moon bay. This is one of our favorite spots in Mexico. The condo and staff were great. We hope to return with more of our family in the future. Awesome views from the deck. Thanks to Miriam for cleaning up after us so we could be out having fun. And Roberto was so pleasant to work with Too. Everything was so well kept for the guests. A nice week there. Great Vacation

The condo was great! Location excellent. Very clean with daily service. A few things to consider for improvement was a new TV. The existing tube TV is Tiny and very old. A very inexpensive upgrade. The AC in the master bedroom is old and very noisy. replacement with a newer model like the other bedroom would be a good idea. Overall the place was comfortable and had everything we needed. The on-site property manager Roberto is awesome! speaks English very well and has great insight into local activities. Snorkelling was great right out front of the condo. Restaurant downstairs was very convenient although we found we preferred the others in Akumal more.

Great location, pool and restaurant. VERY RELAXING!

We loved the condo. Very clean, quiet and relaxing. We were surprised that we had maid service and tried to only use them a few times during our stay. We told the prop mgr about the switch that operated the bedroom ceiling fan was extremely hot and was giving off a bad electrical smell. He came and changed it out immediately. There were only a couple of items that I was slightly disappointed with: 1. The couch, which is made of cement, could use some new cushuons. 2. An uograded tv might be nice , but i know people don't watch tv on vacation, however, for those who like to watch the news, it would be mice. The condo was so nice. We really enjoyed it. The beach is rocky and shallow but very nice. The location is about 1 mile from town and easily walkable. There are some areas, closer to the condo, or north akumal, that has very strong smells associated to it. I can only smell it out on the road, not while in the condo or by the beach. The last thing I have to say and was very surprised with was the staff. The property staff just did not seem very helpful or friendly. But I am sure they are use to people coming and going and maybe not being very nice to them. So many different cultures are living in this small community and they all get along nicely. We do plan to return because we enjoyed ourselves and relaxed so much! Oh, the restaurant was anazing. So nice to go downstairs, without shoes, and enjoy some good food , drinks and service. Thank you so much for letting us stay. We loved it so much!!

Great Location

We spent a week at the condo! It was very clean and welcoming. The location was great! We rented bikes for the week from Del Sol and found this a great way to get around. The maid service was excellent and the manager was friendly and helpful. We picked up groceries on our way from the airport and biked over to the town of Akumal for some fresh produce part way through the week. We snorkelled in Halfmoon Bay on the calm days and saw lots of fish, we relaxed in the pool and we enjoyed a meal at the restaurant. Overall a great vacation!

Private, quiet location with amazing views

Clean, well equipped, large unit was perfect. Lovely ocean view, nice breeze, beach and pool amenities like chairs and palapas available. The property was well maintained. We had housekeeping services every day which we did not expect. Check in was easy. There is a good restaurant - La Lunita - on premises. Location was perfect, we visited several ruins sites, cenotes, Tulum, etc but nice to leave the more crowded areas behind at the end of the day and have a swim at half moon bay or the pool. We had both pretty much to ourselves the whole week we were there. We would definitely return. Great experience.

Perfect location for active folks!

Very well-kept property. Nice that the restaurant is here if you don't want to leave the area for dinner. Location was perfect. Close to two other restaurants, walk to Akumal Beach to snorkel with turtles, walk to many restaurants, shopping, grocery in Akumal Bay, walk to lagoon Yal Ku to snorkel with amazing tropical fish, walk out onto your beach and snorkel right there at the hotel and see amazing things as well. Bring your own snorkel gear and shoes for the rocky beach to enter the ocean.

Fabulous Spot

We absolutely loved this spot. The ease of going to the beach from our suite and the quiet setting was enhanced by a spacious, well stocked and very comfortable Condo. There were 4 of us and both bedrooms were master suites. The balcony is huge. Daily housekeeping is certainly a bonus and certainly appreciated. A compliment to the building and management is the number of return visitors. I have to mention the restaurant tucked into the building (LUNITA) is one of the finest restaurants you will run into in Mexico and you receive 15% off staying at Tortuga. I sincerely hope we can return another year and we are folks you always want to go somewhere different every trip and everywhere we travel.
