The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and the food was good. What I thought could be improved was the cleanliness of the bathroom, the route was in the middle of the lake and large portions of the day was spent simply docked on shore. I would only recommend going for one night. We booked two nights and they gave us a refund for our second night as they did not have enough guests on our boat to take us out and when we asked about the route they said it would be the same. The amount of trash and garbage on the water ways is abhorrent. There needs to be a big cleanup project and there are too many boats on the lake. We rented a smaller boat to go down small canals and 5 times in our two hour trip they had to stop to untangle trash from the motor.

The room had two big windows and a cute butterfly shaped bed. Big bathroom. Welcomed a board with a drink and friendly staff. The lounge and dining room was spacious and well decorated with comfortable furniture. Outside deck with comfy seating. The food was good and tea was served. The staff were very accommodating and friendly.

I recently stayed for a day on the Cost Houseboat in Alleppey, Kerala, and the experience was truly memorable. The stay was comfortable and well-organized, making for a delightful getaway on the scenic backwaters.The staff members were extremely helpful and courteous throughout the stay, ensuring that all our needs were promptly attended to. The meals served—lunch, dinner, and breakfast—were simple but delicious and hygienic. Although the menu did not offer many choices, the quality and taste of the food were commendable.The boat cruise through the beautiful backwaters was the highlight of the experience, offering a peaceful and refreshing view of Kerala’s natural beauty. The room provided was clean, comfortable, and equipped with decent amenities. However, there is some room for improvement in the bathroom facilities, particularly in providing proper toiletries and enhancing the overall maintenance.Overall, Cost Houseboat offers an enjoyable and unique experience, perfect for those looking to spend quality time amidst the calm and beauty of Alleppey’s backwaters. I would definitely recommend this houseboat stay to anyone seeking a relaxing yet thrilling experience in Kerala.

Very relaxing and beautiful scenery. The rooms are very modern and clean. There was a total of 7 rooms on board, so it was good to mix and chat to the other guests. The crew on the houseboat were wonderful, very friendly and helpful. Always willing and happy to help. Food was excellent, but keep in mind there is no alcohol, as seems to be case everywhere in Kerala. We will happily come back again.

We had a great time on this trip. The food was excellent. The crew was very attentive and we had a lot of fun dancing and singing. I highly recommend using Upperdeck Houseboats for your next trip.
