Friendly staff, location is great and lovely beech front position. Hotel is quite old and although fairly well maintained is showing its age since last refurbishment. We booked a room with sea view, which was correct but on the side of the hotel adjoining a part competed apartment block. The facilities on site are all chargeable so take account of that when making the reservation.

The hotel is in a good location and our room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was very nice, and we enjoyed lunch at the beach restaurant. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly and welcoming. However, we paid extra for a balcony with a side sea view and were disappointed that we were unable to use the balcony because of the building site next door. We mentioned this to the reception staff, but they did not seem particularly interested or concerned. I appreciate that the hotel cannot control nearby building work, and it is unfortunate for them as well. However, given that the hotel is quite large and did not appear to be anywhere near full, it was disappointing that we were allocated a room on that side of the hotel when other rooms may have been available.
