Not a bad stop

The woman at the front desk was very friendly. The hotel was basically clean and the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. This was a stop along a trip so it gave us exactly what we needed.

It was cold and snowy and we had our dogs with us. so we were glad to get off the highway and get a room. Bed was comfortable but there were stains on the comforter. Parking was convenient, well-lit, and safe. Staff were very kind, friendly and helpful. But the non-smoking room smelled of cigarette smoke. Someone had wrapped the smoke alarm in a plastic bag. The faucet in the bathroom was not fully attached to the sink. The water fountain in the main building did not operate. The clerk in the lobby was very kind and she provided us with drinking water. The property is undergoing remodeling, so I expect that a lot of the issues we observed will be corrected as construction is completed.

We needed bubbly water for an acute upset stomach, but the vending machine was broken. The nearest open drugstore (for alka-seltzer) meant getting into a car in the middle of the night. When we turned on the tap in the wee hours, all we got coming out of the pipes for 10 minutes was air. The folks running the desk did not behave as though they had the authority or knowledge to explain or help resolve these problems. All this was disappointing. That said, the room was clean & well prepared and the location felt safe. But I guess, bring your own snacks & meds & comfort items, as you won't find them on site.

Okay For An Affordable Overnight Stay

The employee checking us in was very nice and there was nothing wrong with the hotel or its location. That said, this hotel is definitely an older, very average 2-star facility. If you're only staying one night and don't want to spend a lot of money, it fits the bill nicely. But if you want something nicer for a longer stay than you'll probably want to explore other options.

Unfortunately there was construction going on next to the hotel which made it very noisy during the day. Older hotel, but clean. Friendly staff at front desk. Would stay again if I had to. Was in town for a concert at the MVP Arena. Close to arena.

: The staff were very nice and polite, but it seemed like they were not very knowledgeable — almost as if the person helping me had just been hired and hadn’t received proper hospitality training yet. There was no sense of urgency with the service. The vending machine was out of order, and it would have been helpful if they had mentioned that there’s a convenience store right next door where I could buy water and snacks. I also had to check into two rooms because both rooms smelled like smoke. The final room was clean, and I appreciated the friendliness, but I think the motel could improve training for new staff and provide guests with better information about amenities and alternatives when something isn’t working.

Chose the pay at the property option yet they charged my card before I got there. Door almost hit bed upon opening and cigarette burn in top cover of bed. Toilet leaked all over bathroom floor. Ice machine and pool were in a completely separate building. Having said these things, front desk staff was friendly and if you’re looking for a place just to rest, you could find worse.
