The Royal Picardie is a great option for staying on the Somme and it being walking distance into Albert. The facilities at The Royal Picardie are excellent, dining area and lounge area are both very spacious and the rooms are of a good standard. The staff are great and at the time of our stay a lady called Chloe done a fantastic job between reception and the lounge bar.

A very nice quiet hotel on the outskirts of Albert within easy walking distance of the town centre. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The bar was a great place to have a late night drink, and although we didn’t use the dining room the menu looked very good.

Nice hotel but insufficient staffing

Hotel building is lovely and room was clean and comfortable however staffing was awful. On the night we stayed, one member of staff was waiting in the restaurant as well as covering reception and the bar and not surprisingly made several mistakes with our order. Menu is extensive but had only 2 vegetarian options, a bowl of soup and a salad, a vegetable risotto was on the menu but we were told it wasn’t available. Same happened at breakfast when we had to wait for a table to be cleared by the receptionist.

This is a lovely hotel. The inside is welcoming and staff very friendly. We only stayed one night and used it as a stop over. We walked into Albert for our evening meal. Breakfast is great, lots of it and fresh tea leaves! Great find for an evening stop over and lots of things to see in surrounding area

Bed en eetgelegenheid waren prima. Slapen met open ramen was niet mogelijk vanwege geluidsoverlast van luchtbehandelingssystemen op het dak onder het raam. Verduisteringsgordijnen konden ook niet geheel dcht.
