Pretty Villa

Villa Julia was very pretty and very clean .Everything worked - information provided was excellent -Bathrooms lovely and plenty of hot water - Pool very nice also -some sunshade would be nice around the pool area . Pool beds fine - Maybe a king size bed would be nice in the main bedroom but maybe that’s just me. -kitchen utensils need updated - more side plates and plates and mugs needed .Location was good - took about 15 minutes into main town which was heaving with youth.

Peaceful privacy.

We had a wonderful two weeks in this villa, it is set in the countryside with views all around and is so peaceful, we all really relaxed and enjoyed the space. The pool was great and we used it every day. The property is very clean and though older inside, it is very charming. You need a car if you stay here but the beach was only 10 minutes away and to return every day to our own property with total privacy was wonderful. Thank you for letting us share your home.

Lovely spacious villa close to amenities but in a lovely quiet spot, fabulous pool

A property with character - that doesn't mean that it's gone to ruin! Honestly it has stood the test of time and is beautiful - the pool and bouganvilla are awesome and it's such a peaceful place to be. (Mind the mosquitoes though - not many but you only need one....). Generally well equipped but a few things that would be useful additions are a cheese grater and a peeler. So great to have not only bed linen and towels provided but also pool towels . Poor communication - or lack of - with the Portugala representative (but wasn't a big deal - just that his directions to the property were rubbish if arriving in the darkl!)

Lovely quiet, private setting.

This spacious villa was very relaxing and comfortable. We could sit by the good sized pool without any neighbours or passers by seeing us and could barely hear traffic in the distance. The grounds were well maintained, the kitchen well equipped and there was no shortage of towels etc. We would definitely stay again.

Very Tired property - really needs a lot of TLC

The photos of the property are misleading. The outside is fine except the second half of the garden (not shown in the photos) is becoming a dumping ground. The pool furniture is old and not comfy. Inside the villa is full of old furniture, the beds are OK but small. The linens are old, nothing matches, didn't feel fresh and clean so I ended up washing it all. The kitchen has old appliances showing rust. Nothing felt clean and the crockery was disgraceful. We struggled to serve food because there were no sets of anything we only found 2 matching large sized plates. We even ended up buying two sets of glasses. The Bathrooms are also in need of serious updating. There was mold on some of the tiled areas. The baths are old and you have to climb into them to take showers which we considered dangerous especially if you are elderly. The sinks were chipped and the facets leaky. If you go in the cooler months then take note the Villa is extremely cold and the best form of heating was to light log fires which is not ideal. There were two very small heaters but they were too small to heat the larger areas. Another very big downside was the dogs at the surrounding properties and the Kennels located down in the valley, they barked constantly for hours. It is advisable to have transport if you stay at this property, its very remote and walking back from the town late at night is not recommended as it is not well lit. One huge positive is that Carlos, the Property Manager was excellent. Always available, extremely helpful and always on hand to help and give great information on the surrounding area. The WiFi system a great plus point which Carlos supplied, was also a remote system and worked really well. Definite 5* to Carlos. All in all this Villa was a huge disappointment however, if the owners would consider making some big improvements it would have so much going for it.

Fantastic villa in a peaceful location

Villa Julia is just as described. Excellent communication from Carlos from a phone call before we arrived to outstanding driving instructions (a car is advisable), easy check in with a lock box and suggestions for restaurants and things to do. He really was always available and so helpful. The villa is beautiful. Sun all day and a lovely pool. The kitchen is well equipped and there was such a spacious feeling to the place. The wifi was via a portable modem which was so handy as it could come with us when we went out saving our data. The villa felt very secure with lockable gates and a huge drive. Although it seems remote it is only a 7 min drive to Albufeira old town and 15 mins to lots of lovely beaches. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would definitely recommend it.

Muito a melhorar

Casa com áreas generosas e com boa piscina, mas com falta de manutenção no seu interior. Fiquei muito incomodado com a forma com que fui informado das regras da casa, com a ameaça constante de perda da caução. Não é assim que se deve comunicar com os clientes. Exigir-nos que verifiquemos se está tudo em ordem com a casa quando chegamos, caso contrario teríamos sanções na caução, parece-me inadmissível, quem tem que fazer esse trabalho, são vocês, os proprietários, eu vou para lá é para usufruir das minhas férias. Senti-me desconfortável nesse aspeto. Deveriam urgentemente pensar comunicar de forma mais cordial e em correto português, até porque a moradia está em território Português. Por estas razões, não será para repetir a estadia.

Excellent communication throughout our booking and stay. A beautiful private location with supermarkets, restaurants and beaches within a short distance. Homely and well equipped villa with a good sized swimming pool and a secure garden.

Location conforme à la description. Environnement calme. Ameublement pas très moderne mais peu d importance pour nous. Un problème de volet suite à la tempête mais notre interlocuteur Carlos a été très réactif. Nous avons passé un bon séjour.

Lovely villa in peaceful location

Villa is perfect for families, pool is a good size and outside space is great. Any issues we had were sorted very quickly and the supermarket shopping and taxi service made stay even more enjoyable

Villa idéale pour un séjour en famille

Villa propre, bien équipée et très bien située (au calme et à seulement 5/10 min d'Albufeira en voiture). Nous avons reçu par mail toutes les consignes d'accès et d'utilisation du matériel à notre disposition : séjour très bien organisé par Carlos (très sympathique et réactif). SUPER SEJOUR

Belle villa très bien équipée dans un environnement au calme, entre Guia et Albufeira à quelques kilomètres des plages. Employée de ménage et technicien pour la piscine très discrets et efficaces. (Changement du linge de maison en cours de séjour). Petit cadeau de bienvenue. Echanges avec Carlos de l'agence faciles et professionnels. Nous recommanderons cette location.

Ticked all the boxes and more

What a lovely property. It ticked all the boxes and more. Carlos has been very accomodating and the comunication is excellent. It is a typical beautiful Portugese Villa with some lovely original features, which we loved very much. The layout of the property is very well made with 1 bedroom near the entrance which makes a great en suite guest bedroom, and 2 others on the other side of the leaving room with own bathroom (Think Parents and kids quarters). Great Big lounge dinner, very well equiped Portugese Kitchen, and a cover terrace over looking the pool you will struggle to leave... The villa is situated in an idealic spot away from the tourist buzz, the pool is well thought for kids as well as grown ups, the gardens are lovely, great and handy barbecue area, Lovely lime trees which is a bonus for your drinks and Gin tonic. Cleaner is a lovely lady and the Pool maintenance team are 2 very charming gentlemen who are more than happy to help and advise. If being away from tourists, beautifull scenery, and great sunset is your thing, then We can only recommend you book yourself a stay at Villa Julia, We are already planing our next trip.
