We chose the barn for a family 60th. If you're thinking of doing something similar, I can highly recommend Lower house Barn.
First of all, the location is brilliant, as we had family members travelling from the north-west, London and Devon, so this was pretty much equi-distant for us all.
The configuration of the barn with the bedrooms downstairs and living room upstairs allows for wonderful views of the hills and Ragley Hall in the distance. Our trip coincided with some heavy rain, and sitting on the covered balcony with the heater on, a glass of wine, watching the deer run around and listening to the downpour was magical. You don't have to leave the barn as it has everything that you need but if you do there is an nice walk to the village with 2 pubs. We opted for The Fish, which served great food and a cracking pint of Butty Bach from the Wye Valley Brewery to boot.
For those of you with dogs, the garden isn't huge but is fully enclosed so your pooch can roam (although very small dogs might be able to squeeze under the gate?). The track to the barn is about 3/4 mile long, and is easily accessible - you might have to go slow but it's nothing to worry about.
We would definitely return.
