Rural delight

Just returned from a holiday staying in this fabulous accommodation overlooking the Portugese countryside and apple orchards yet within a very short drive of excellent beaches at Sao Martinho do Porto and Foz do Arelho. Communication was excellent, by phone and in person, before and during our stay. We were welcomed by Terese who gave us a personalised guide to the property. Nothing was too much trouble -thank you for the welcome pack! There is a supermarket just down the road which is more than adequate and the Equestrian Centre also nearby which served excellent lunches - especially the Sunday buffet. Though the closest bars were a short drive away being able to sit out on the property's large terrace of an evening with a glass of wine in hand more than made up for it. If youā€™re looking for a calm and relaxing rural setting look no further. We recommend that you book this holiday home without any hesitation you wonā€™t be disappointed.

Wir waren als Familie in dem Haus. Es ist neu renovuert worden mit einer sehr schƶnen AuƟenanlage. Sauber und der Kontakt zum Vermieter war hervorragend. Sehr netter Kontakt. Auf Fragen bekam man in kĆ¼rzester Zeit Antwort und einige sehr gute Empfehlungen. Das Haus liegt etwas abseits an einer Apfelplantage. Ein Mietwagen ist daher sehr wichtig. StrƤnde, Einkaufen, SehenswĆ¼rdigkeiten sind aber im Umkreis von 5-15min mit dem Auto vorhanden. Alles war sehr problemlos und entspannt.

Points qui pourraient ĆŖtre amĆ©liorĆ©s : la machine Ć  cafĆ© inexistante seul une machine Ć  dosettes plastique. Great villa in quiet location and fantastic pool

This is such a wonderful gem of a property, so clean and well looked after in a rural setting equiped with everything you need. The pool is to die for! To be honest it is classed as "shared" but there is only one other house with access to it so we never saw more than 2 other people and there were plenty of sun loungers around and space for everyone. We went in September and the weather was still great, the beach is very close and you have local restaurants and supermarkets in walking distance. To be honest we barely left the place as it has everything you need! Also my little boy loved the sand pit, it kept him entertained each morning; overall very pleased and will likely book again for next year!

Unser Urlaub war sehr schƶn. Sehr sauber, gemĆ¼tlich und mit vielen kleinen Details wird Quinta da Mota zu einer echten Entspannungsoase. Der Pool und der Garten waren toll! Rundum ein sehr schƶner Urlaub. Ein Auto sollte man jedoch mieten, auƟer man mƶchte alle Tage am Pool verbringen :) Das Restaurant direkt nebenan / CEIA kƶnnen wir auch nur wƤrmstens empfehlen. Vielen Dank fĆ¼r den schƶnen Aufenthalt!

Das Haus war sehr schƶn mit allem was man braucht ausgestattet.

Der Urlaub hat uns gut gefallen, da das Haus sehr bequem mit toller Ausstattung eingerichtet war. Es fehlt nur eine Terrasse auf die man sich z.B. zum Essen setzen kann. Wenn man draussen essen mƶchte muss man immer eine Treppe hinunter und dann kƶnnte es sein, dass aus der anderen Wohneinheit dort schon jemand sitzt. Desweiteren ist der Ausblick nicht der romantischste. Wer also auf Meerblick und grĆ¼ne Wiesen steht, ist hier falsch aufgehoben. Ansonsten toller, sauberer Pool, super GrundstĆ¼ck und genĆ¼gend Liegen und StĆ¼hle am Pool. Brƶtchen und den kleinen Einkauf kann man ganz in der NƤhe zu FuƟ holen. FĆ¼r alles andere braucht man auf jeden Fall ein Auto.

Erholsamer Urlaub in wundervoller Umgebung

Wir verbrachten ein paar sehr schƶne Tage im Quinta da Mota I. Es liegt sehr idyllisch zwischen Apfelbaumplantage und altem Bauernhof und ist mit dem Auto sehr gut zu erreichen. Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet und es ist alles vorhanden, was einen gelungenen Urlaub ausmacht. Wir wurden am Ankunftstag mit Wein und frischem Brot Ć¼berrascht. In den grĆ¶ĆŸeren Ortschaften der Umgebung gibt es viele Einkaufsmƶglichkeiten; wir haben uns am Liebsten bei Continente mit regionalen Produkten versorgt. Die KĆ¼ste erreicht man in ca. 10 Minuten. Auch Porto und Lissabon sind von hier aus auch fĆ¼r einen Tagestrip gut zu erreichen. Und gibt es doch einmal ein Problem, hilft Joao sofort weiter. Wir kommen sicher einmal wieder!

Un agrƩable sƩjour

Nous sommes restĆ©s 4 nuits Ć  la Quinta da Mota I. Notre objectif Ć©tait de nous reposer et de profiter du jardin et de la piscine mais manque de chance, il n'a pas fait tout le temps beau pendant notre sĆ©jour. Nous en avons profitĆ© pour nous balader. La maison est bien placĆ©e car rien n'est vraiment bien loin (plages et vieilles pierres). La maison est conforme Ć  ce qui est dĆ©crit avec un accĆØs internet qui marche trĆØs bien (chacun ses prioritĆ©s !) On peut y trouver tout ce dont on a besoin dans la salle de bain et la cuisine. Il y a un fond de cuisine, ce qui est toujours apprĆ©ciable et 2 bouteilles de vin et du pain frais nous attendez. Merci beaucoup pour cette attention ! CĆ“tĆ© jardin, il nous manquait une chaise longue (nous Ć©tions 3) car celles d'Ć  cĆ“tĆ© Ć©taient occupĆ©es mais rien de grave. La piscine est commune aux 2 Quintas et les occupants de la Quinta II nous on laissĆ© des moments d'intimitĆ© autour de la piscine. C'Ć©tait trĆØs aimable Ć  eux. J'ai juste 1 bĆ©mol, la N8 (je crois) ne passe vraiment pas loin et on peut entendre le bruit des voitures aux heures de pointe. Ce n'est pas si gĆŖnant que cela mais ne pensez pas vous retrouver en totale campagne.

Great stay, lovely break with friends in excellent

I have just returned from a long weekend at Quinta da Mota and I absolutely loved it! I went with a group of 8 friends and we rented both cottages ( Quinta da Mota 1 and 2), each can accommodate 4 guests comfortably. The place was very clean, it has great facilities, it's quiet and private and really close to the beach. You would need to rent a car to get there , but it is really worth it! The beach is a short drive away ( 5 minutes), and there is an equestrian center/farm that has a restaurant /cafe and great fresh food at affordable prices. The weather was great for April, it was sunny every single day and you only needed a jumper in the evening. There are loads of placed to visit ( I've been in the area before so we knew where to go), Obidos is not far away we went for the day and would highly recommend visiting it. I will probably go back at some point this year, it's such a tranquil cozy place it really makes you feel like home and we're looking forward to going back ! The only downside is that the swimming pool is above ground and not the biggest, but for the price overall you still get great value for money.
