This is the best place to get away for the weekend or to get some peace and quiet. Super cute house. Really quiet. Nice hot tub and incredibly clean! I can't say enough about how clean everything was. Hosts were super nice and check in was easy. They had all the necessities you could need.

Short Stay - Great Weekend Getaway
My husband and I flew from New Jersey to MO for his son's wedding. I wanted to make it a weekend out of it and found this place. We had wonderful few days here, from going to the lake and watching the wild life to walking the dirt road at 7am for exercise and running into turtles in the road. Great rural location
This house is really fabulous, plus it is very close to our family reunion. It was very clean with comfortable beds. The bathroom shower was amazing! And having a washer and dryer was excellent. Overall very happy with the location and amenities and plan to stay here again in the future.

Great property! Clean, beautiful, and serene!
Much needed family time away! Has everything you needed, just bring your food and yourself and have a blast! My kids said it was one of the best vacations yet! My husband and I both agreed it was probably the cleanest property we’ve stayed at by far! Would definitely stay again! Close to lake, quiet setting, star gaze, sit in the hot tube! Take your pick and enjoy!

Perfect Escape!
My husband and I were so impressed with this property. When we arrived, it was clean and ready for us. Quality sheets, towels, and amenities. We loved the extra long garage where we were able to store our kayaks on the trailer. Such a peaceful place. We were able to get to boat ramps within 10 minutes. The owners have adequately stocked the kitchen with all the pots, pans, cutlery, plates, and silverware you need. Everything worked perfectly. Highly recommend for a great little getaway.

Diamond in the rough
Fantastic property in the middle of nowhere for some sweet silent time away! Enjoyed being away from the city and major population allowing us to just hang out and have fun. The hot tub each night was amazing and each day we found shopping, food and fishing within a reasonable drive. The internet was spotty, but that didn’t bother me as we rented this with the expectation that we wanted a break from everyone and everything. Made it tough to watch movies, though, if that’s what you’re looking for. Oh and watch out for the snakes, those were a bit thick. Overall, gorgeous rental. Would absolutely recommend.

Another Relaxing Stay
This was my second time staying at this property and all I can say about it are great things. It is an excellent place to get away and relax. It is clean beyond expectations, and always neat and ready for guests, with hosts that respond to any questions you may have very quickly.

My wife and I love staying here. It is beautiful, modern & peaceful. We loved the deck off of the bedroom and the outdoor hot tub. The kitchen had everything we needed and internet service was great. We look forward to our next stay here!

Get place for couples to just get away!
Over all we enjoyed this property and management was very easy to get ahold of and helped us out immediately with any questions or concerns we had, (The hot tub was GREAT!!!:) (Yes there’s a real hot tub here:) And it’s a very nice little place in the middle of nowhere!! It is about an hr drive to Springfield MO if your going to the Mall just a heads up-

We LOVED the house and area. Only thing to adjust for us was that the highway was noisy. Didn't realize how close to the highway. But, we saw that the house was close to a road...just busier than we expected. But LOVED the place anyway!

Great new modern getaway!
We really enjoyed our stay. The place was new, clean, and modern. It had all the extras included, including a grill, coffee, and everything else you need! The place is private and seemed remote, but was just 15 minutes away from the Stockton State Park Marina. We had a great time!

Property is unique and very accommodating. Awesome kitchen and upstairs bathroom. Hot Tub made up for not having walking distance access to beach area that we could swim and sun. Wifi didn’t work very well, but we entertained with board games and good conversation.

beautiful property - the grounds and the home! 20 minutes from the state park marina where we spent days boating. Evenings were board games, hot tub, smores and listing to the frogs. Perfect balance of out door fun with comforts of home. Thorough instructions for entry, hot tub, ac system - nothing left out. Both the property and the Lake are hidden gems - so shhhh! Dont tell! We'll be back for sure

Perfect weekend get-a-way!
This was a beautiful escape from reality. The house is state of the art both upstairs and down. We enjoyed the hot tub each night. We cooked most of our meals there and ate both on the patio and indoors. We enjoyed one full day on the lake and had so much fun! The shower is beautiful and the towels were soft and fluffy (shampoo/conditioner and body soap were all available). The home offers a washer and dryer which was great for wet items coming off the lake. We had plenty of space for four adults and genuinely had a pleasant experience. The home provided plenty of extras such as coffee, tea, soda & water upon arrival which made our first impression 100% great. We our looking forward to returning again soon. 5 STARS!

A Lake House Retreat....and Then Some
Beautiful property...pictures do not do the house justice. When we pulled up, we thought it looked smaller than we anticipated. However, it's put together well and there was plenty of space for all 6 of us. Enjoyed the Hot Tub, the Grill, the Patio upstairs and downstairs. Lots of room outside to play and run for the kids. Only 12 minutes to the Marina on Stockton Lake. We had a great 4 night stay. Thanks!

Paradise in the middle of nowhere!
Even with WiFi boosters, it did not work well especially when raining. Other than that, we enjoyed the house immensely. The complimentary coffee was an awesome touch! We will be back...

Thank you very very much for choosing our house for your extended stay. We’ve been on the phone many times with the internet provider, have purchased the best plan available and it is still slower than what many people have at home or work. We’ve received many reviews of how quiet and relaxing the home is in its rural setting, high speed internet in this secluded area is a challenge although it is adequate for staying connected to family or the office and streaming services. We are currently exploring other options and are always looking for better service. Thank you for taking great care of our home and we would look forward to your next visit!

Great stay on Stockton lake
Staying here was perfect. Close to the lake and after a long day on the lake the perfect place to retreat too. Clean and contemporary. The kitchen had what you need for preparing great dinners. Truly enjoyed the upper patio at night sitting out enjoying the peaceful evenings. I would recommend this to any couple who needs to get away

Perfect house 5 min. from Stockton Lake
The Stockton Lake Retreat lived up to everything as promised. We had plenty of room for 6 adults. All the amenities were above and beyond what we expected. The appliances and fixtures were brand new and modern. And the hot tub and two outdoor patio/deck areas were great after a day out on the lake. You can’t ask for a better location, just 5 minutes from a boat ramp and beach. We’ll be sure to rent this property on our next trip to Stockton.

New Modern Home Stockton Lake Retreat
We all loved the house - it was immaculate, everything you needed was there & the owners provided a very detailed list of what items were available & where they could be located . The bathroom was big and the shower was a nice luxury the kids all enjoyed. We were able to do a few loads of laundry & felt like the owners thought of all the details to a stay. We cooked s’mores over a campfire area that was just waiting for us -made use of the hot tub & grill. Again the grill had everything you needed to get it going. The bedrooms at night might have been warmer than we would have liked however, the owners truly have a gem nestled in the hills of Stockton Lake area - with modern style. The owners honored a special request when it came to arrival which made it so convenient for our tribe. We will be back ! Yes if we could we would give them more than 5 🌟’s!

Felt like home!
First impression upon arrival: Immaculate. New property with owners that obviously care about their renters! The place was sparkling clean...we knew it was going to be a nice stay. The hot tub was perfect, the king size bed was comfortable and the smart TVs were a bonus. We grilled just about every meal on the Traeger grill and it did not disappoint. The house was perfect. The area was quiet and private. Loved having the garage to park our car since it stormed one night. If you’re looking for a private house with some extra comforts...stop scrolling. Book this house! Mike was very responsive with my questions...as I said from the beginning, the owners Mike and Elise care.

Great house and hot tub
We loved our stay at the Lakehouse! The house itself is gorgeous and had everything we needed, and the hot tub was the perfect place to relax. We used the pellet grill to smoke some ribs and they turned out perfectly! We weren't aware that there would be workers near/on the property every day we stayed there (about 100 yards away), so it was a little bit less secluded and private than we were hoping, but overall it was a lovely week.

Beautiful, modern retreat!
Our overall experiance was great! We welcomed the new year relaxing in the hot tub. The home is beautiful and has a very modern design and decor. Everything we needed was in the house. There is an upstairs patio where we watched the sunset. I would recommend this house if you are looking for a relaxing weekend getaway.

The Perfect Getaway
This home was just perfect. Everything is there for you. The views are amazing. Very comfortable and very affordable. We have stayed in many places in the area but none came close to this house. Very short drive to the lake. My husband caught a 26 inch walleye, that was so exciting. We celebrated our 35th anniversary here and I see many more celebrations here in the future. Awesome House!
We stayed here a couple of weekends ago and loved it. The place is so beautiful and kept very nice! They even stock the fridge with waters and sodas! Only a 10 min drive from the marina where we docked our boat. It was perfect! We wished we could have stayed longer. We will rent this house again!

Beautiful modern home close to marinas!
My friends and I really enjoyed our stay! The home was very clean and beautifully designed. Mike was great about communicating, very quick to answer any questions we had. The location was perfect for what we needed. We were able to rent a pontoon from State Park Marina near by and enjoy two days on the lake. Would definitely recommend to others looking to enjoy the area!

Great Location/Accommodations
My family stayed at Mike & Elise VRBO over the long Memorial Day weekend. It was amazing! This is a new lake home with all of the modern amenities you can ask for. It has a great layout for hanging out with family and friends. You can hang out on the top deck, back deck or in the living room. We used their Traeger Grill twice a day for breakfast and dinner. We planned our trip based on bringing our food with us and cooking at the house. This worked out perfect. They have all of the pans and dishes required for cooking your meals if you want. However Mike said that there are a few really good cafes/restaurants nearby if you want to eat out. The location is located so you are within 10 - 15 minutes of the larger boat ramps/marina's or their is a small boat launch just down the road. Stockton Lake is the hidden gem of Missouri. Crystal clear waters for boating and fishing. We docked our boat at Stockton Marina in one of their boat slips for $16/night. For us this was very convenient. My son brought his telescope down. What a perfect location for star gazing. There is no light pollution here! Since we went boating all day, we did not get a chance to use the hot tub, however it is located just outside on the back patio. We highly recommend staying at Mike & Elise Lake House. We look forward to another Very Relaxing stay here!! Dan & Patty
