“Lovely property ”

“My bridesmaids and I stayed at Badgers Cottage on my wedding eve and they stayed on through the weekend. It was the perfect setting for getting ready on my wedding morning with lots of light and just a comfortable space. The outside area is gorgeous and the whole place is done to a very high standard. I only wish I'd had more time to relax and enjoy it!I did have a small booking issue going via VRBO with a discrepancy between what VRBO said I owed and the company said. VRBO sent me round in……

“Lovely property in a beautiful peaceful setting perfect for our short get away just wish we could have stayed longer. Great location for exploring the area and has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Hosts are lovely, really can’t fault anything about our stay. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay at this property again.”

“traditional pub with very friendly staff and good quality food. the flat is above the pub but has its own entrance. You can hear people downstairs but this didn't disturb us. We ate both evening we were there and it was excellent and very good value. The flat is in the oldest part of the pub and as such the door frames are low but the ceilings are fine. There was everything we needed and it was nice and clean. Very good value for 2 couples.”

“Excellent place to stay I would definitely stay here again. Nice and clean and it was very handy location, I had everything I could need also they really tried to think of everything. Plenty shops nearby as well to do your shopping. The host was lovely as well (thank you!).”

“A beautiful property, perfect for our family wedding in the area. Deborah and Digby a delight!”

“Property was a very interesting cottage and full of character and old charm. There were lots of books and games for evening or bad days. Louise was a perfect host and made us very welcome and we will definitely return.”

“The property is lovely, like a good hotel suite. It was spotlessly clean and there were lots of clean towels. Lots of plug sockets and a good size mirror. The downside was the shower was lukewarm and we couldn't increase the temperature. Also, the communication wasn't great. There was no info about where to collect or leave the key. Nor was there any acknowledgement when we sent details of our arrival time. A coffee machine would have been nice. ”

“Great host and lovely home! ”

“We really enjoyed our stay at The Old Stables. The beds were very comfortable and everything we needed was provided. The hosts were helpful and the setting is idyllic with pheasants and wildlife all around. Close to lots of forest walks and to local pubs and to the pretty village of Petworth. We were at the cottage for almost three weeks and it felt like home when we left. Very central for a visit to West Sussex and all that it has to offer.”
