Restaurant and bar and our room was in the very old building which is part of a more modern complex. Room had no heating and we needed it in the evening. Staff were nice when you could find them, too few staff doing too many jobs. Bar was open but couldn't find a bar person to get a drink, too busy serving in the restaurant I think? Had sirloin stake meal for dinner which was not that great considering it was £36pp for a lot of gristle. Booked joint massage well in advance of visit but on the day was told joint massage area was out of order so the wife and I jad to have single rooms, walked out! Hotel is over priced and under manned. Will not be returning to this hotel again.

Staff were incredibly helpful and polite throughout our stay. Room was impeccably clean and breakfast was lovely. Only slight issue was staff were sometimes a little slow getting to us to order cooked breakfast meaning we had to miss out on the one day because we had an impatient toddler. We also had dinner on our first night and it was lush.

Once probably a very poice hotel. Now without proper maintanance overpriced and very noisy. We had a good room, premium, although the fridge in the room was taken out, light in the bathroom didn’t function. Breakfast was very poor, very basic with almost nothing to choose from. Spa was ok.

Lovely rural location and welcome at Reception. Room ready early. Lovely characterful room. Good amenities. Food great but a little on the expensive side. Good Spa facilities. Treatment good choice. Changing rooms felt a bit dated and lockers difficult to operate. Great cooked to order breakfast and great quality. Would stay again.

Check-in great and the room had everything you need - be nice to have had a bottle of water.
Restaurant looked great but didn't try it. Lunchtime snacks ok but did think I'd get a fresh cooked club sandwich Not just a cold filling inside water toast.
Spa was great and I look forward to trying i venue in warmer to make use of outside
