“We had a lovely week away. The cottage was well situated for things we wanted to do. Paul across the road we met as we were leaving was very friendly and checked that everything with our stay was ok. He doesn’t have a car so parking on his drive worked really well (I was worry we would have to keep moving the car/get trapped in.) and we were able to get to our car whenever we needed it. Tescos is a 5 min walk and town is very close. There is a nice play park just across the road and Alfreton……

“A really lovely property - very clean, well equipped and comfortable. Great location in the Peak District with pubs in walking distance and short distance in a car to lots of activities and places of interest. Offroad parking for at least 2 cars. The property is pet friendly with hard floors throughout the ground floor but the garden is small and not the most secure if your dog is large or an escape artist. Our shnauzer was very happy and there is a lovely open green directly in front of the……

“Lovely little cottage in a beautiful setting. Great walks around. Bed comfortable and lovely warm shower. The welcome package was very helpful as I arrived late on Sunday and forgot the English shops closed early!”

“Lovely holiday get away, horse stables on the working farm was lovely, was a shame my maltipoo dog did not feel the same way. Great value for money. Bottle of wine was very much appreciated.”

“Lovely house and very quiet location which is what I loved . Everything you needed in terms of kitchen facilities /utensils etc . Lovely comfy bed , down side was late check in 4pm and early check out out 10am , no breakfast included but other than than lovely .”

“Stunning location - perfect for anyone wishing to escape the hustle & bustle of life. ”

“Nice hut, lovely place, everything so clean and looked after. Good food in the local pub a short walk away. Host was friendly”

“We booked for two nights at this cottage but unfortunately, our experience was so bad that we left after the first night and went home. After we eventually found the property (signage and directions were not great) we found it unlocked with no key. There was one electric heater in the living room but otherwise the central heating did not work and it was a chilly evening. The thermostat did not rise above 16 degrees. The hot water at the sink was barely lukewarm so we didn’t even attempt a……

“Ideal for us on a short visit to family with fog in tow. Foolow a lovely village with great pub and stunning views”

“Very comfortable property in pleasant surroundings and perfectly placed for lots of scenic walks around the Peak District, would highly recommend.”

“An amazing place to stay! Gorgeous views and animals to see and perfect local for take outs and small shops like Tesco or co op. Plenty to do around. Would definitely go back again!”

“Spotless, comfy bed, great location, warm and welcoming. Thank you.”

“We had a lovely break at The Warren. The accommodation is modern and luxurious, the setting is very peaceful, and the hot tub is wonderful.”

“We had a lovely time staying for a week with our German shepherd dog. Perfect base for exploring the peaks. We really enjoyed the dog wash and private garden space.”
