  • For a picturesque Rocky Mountain escape, look no further than this 3,200-square-foot log cabin with spectacular views throughout the home, just 13 miles from Breckenridge Ski Resort and close to all sorts of winter and summer activities. Bring your skis to experience world-class powder, or go kayaking and fishing at Montgomery Reservoir or hiking and horseback riding through the mountains. At the end of the day, relax your muscles in the bubbling new hot tub and admire the breathtaking view of the mountains and forests. Arapahoe Basin Ski Area is 31 miles away, Copper Mountain is 30 miles away, and Keystone is 28 miles away.

    This home was built from full-size logs and features hickory floors and cabinetry throughout the main level. Upon entry, you'll be met with a bright wooden interior and an airy atmosphere throughout the three-bedroom space. Relax and make yourself at home by resting on the plush and gathering in front of the fireplace. Starlink internet allows you to stream your favorite movies on one of the large TVs, while a game of foosball is perfect for added fun. Hobby chefs will love preparing grand meals and on-the-go snacks in the sophisticated kitchen, equipped with stainless steel appliances and all the cupboard room you'll ever need. Comfortable beds and spacious bedrooms ensure that everyone will receive a restful night's sleep from the day's adventures. Amazing place and well priced in my opinion. Outstanding views and close enough to Breckenridge (20 min). Only thing that needs attention is the couch, other than that, this place is perfect.

Beautiful cabin on a quiet mountainside overlooking a valley. Great stay. Acoustics from top floor to 2nd floor leaves a little to be desired, but that is the only thing we noticed that wasn’t top notch. Great hot tub and the wrap around deck is the highlight. Great stay! Hope to be back.

Great home base for day hikes and exploring the area!

We enjoyed the location as it was really close to Breckenridge, but up, up and away from the hustle-bustle. Beautiful property with spectacular views. We had a great time and enjoyed doing the puzzles and using the foosball table.

Beautiful mountain home with stunning views

We had a wonderful stay and this home met all of our expectations. This is a true high country house in a beautiful location, minutes from amazing hiking and any other outdoor adventure you can think of, and close enough to Breckenridge to make shopping and dining convenient.

Excellent Cabin in an excellent location. Beautiful scenery and views from the balcony. Did struggle with breathing at that high altitude and wish more was shared about that opportunity for people who have never experienced it.

Great Stay Just Outside Breckenridge

We wanted quiet, clean, and roomy accommodations. This rental checked all the boxes for us. It is located about 10 miles outside of the town of Breckenridge - which was just what we wanted - not too close/not too far. The town and people we met we all very friendly and welcoming. We loved the spaciousness of the home and its charm were excellent!

Picture do no justice the place is Beautiful Breathtaking. The drive up was a bit of a chalk with snow and start turns but with a 4 wheel drive you should be fine. Loved every minute

Beautiful location. Best mountain views out of all the locations we’ve stayed at in this area. The house needs a little TLC. There are some appliances with broken parts, railing outside with broken or missing posts, wasn’t as clean as we would have liked. No book with info on the house like most provide.

Christmas in Pigeon Forge - 2019

Overall experience was fantastic and look forward to next years vacation to the area. Property could use some upgrades but it actually made the experience far less stressful when you are borrowing someone’s house. It was perfect for my family of four, a boy friend, and a golden retriever. We will stay at the Southern Comfort cabin again next year if it is available.

Early Autumn

We had a very relaxing long weekend with the kids aged 6 and 9. The cabin provides easy access to trails and fishing; the walk up to Wheeler Lake is lovely. Kids enjoyed evening hot tubbing with the Milky Way visible above. The cabin was spacious and well-equipped. The log structures make it feel like a real alpine cabin experience.

Cute but needs an upgrade

This place was cute and the veiws were stunning. However, the house needs some love and care. The dining table was broken and wobbly, the couches were stained, the dishes and grill were filthy, and each bathroom was dirty and in need of renovation. This house absolutly has the potential to be cute but was lacking in some much needed renovations.
