Firefly Haven is tucked away on 9 peaceful acres near Bryson City, this spacious yet cozy, pet-friendly mountain retreat offers the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation. Just minutes from the Nantahala Outdoor Center (NOC), Tsali biking trails, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, and the Tail of the Dragon, you’re perfectly positioned to explore Western North Carolina.

After a day outdoors, unwind in the private hot tub, gather around the fire pit under the stars, or cozy up by the indoor gas fireplace. The large covered front porch features a dreamy bed swing and rocking chairs overlooking the forest and creek — perfect for slow mornings and golden-hour evenings.

This beautifully renovated 2-bedroom, 1-bath mountain cottage comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests, offering plenty of room to spread out while still feeling intimate and inviting for couples.

Access is easy via mostly paved roads, and the driveway is suitable for all vehicles in all seasons — no 4WD required. There is ample parking for multiple vehicles and motorcycles, along with thoughtful privacy between neighboring cabins on the property.

Whether you’re visiting for rafting at the Nantahala Outdoor Center, biking Tsali, riding the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, or simply escaping to the mountains, this creekside retreat is the perfect Smoky Mountain basecamp.

Perfect cozy lil cabin!! Super clean and has everything you need! Came for a weekend getaway and absolutely didn’t want to leave! The place is amazing. Very cozy, and off the beaten path. Still close to a grocery store and a convenience store. The host was amazing. Very fast response time when we had a small issue with the fireplace. They had someone there in less than. 20 minutes. I would definitely recommend this rental, and would definitely stay there again.

Enjoyed your cottage! We did a lot of exploring the area the day we checked in, hiked up the road the next morning, relaxed in the hot tub, cooked out steaks, played Clue & watched the World Series! I camped out on the couch because steps in the middle of the night are no bueno! Only 2 suggestions---rails on the steps out front would help & the Clue game is missing some cards.

Parking across the street was a bummer, seems there could be room for a gravel driveway to the left of the property (when facing the front porch). Also, the bugs were bad so much on the front porch we couldn't even enjoy that space! Adding a bug light or citronella candles (or Yard Guard) would certainly help! Also the grill is not working except on the left side, front burner only. Since there is also a missing wheel, maybe a good time for a new one!? Other than these points, we enjoyed our stay!

This property was a sweet escape and very relaxing. I could live on the front porch! The sound of the creek water running by while relaxing on the bed swing was heaven. The hot tub was great and well maintained. The cabin was clean, plenty of space for our family of 5 but still had a cozy feeling. It was the perfect ending after being at the beach for a week. Sometimes you feel like you need a vacation from your vacation. This place fulfilled that need. We left feeling relaxed and refreshed.

Peaceful and Comfortable

Loved the sound of the brook as we enjoyed our morning coffee on the front porch's rocking chairs. In the evening, we relaxed in the crystal clean water of the hot tub. The downstairs bed was comfortable and the home was very clean. Close to Bryson City, white water rafting and the national park. We would definitely stay here again.

This place is absolutely amazing if you want to literally get away from it all! It’s quiet, in the woods away from everything and everyone. The weather was amazing the whole time we were there. We loved being able to sit out on the front porch and listen to the nature around us, smell the fresh air, see the humming birds and watch the lightning bugs at night. This was mine and my husband’s first real vacation! Life always got in the way before. Shelby, the host was absolutely amazing! She communicated with us before our trip even started( again life was starting to got in the way) we almost had to cancel our trip. But she was very understanding, accommodating and patient me, us. The kids had a great time playing in the little creek by the house, walking down to see the lake, playing games and they enjoyed the hot tube. We didn’t want to leave. We highly recommend “Firefly Lane” if you want to relax and get away from it all! When we decided to take another vacation to this area we would definitely love to stay here again. Thank you so much for everything!!

Beautiful Mountain Cottage

The Firefly Haven was so beautiful and peaceful. About 20 minutes from Bryson City where you can visit all of the mountain excursions. There was a creek running through the property. My favorite part of the cottage was the bed swing on the front porch. We would sit there at night and listen to all of the bature sounds and the babbling of the creek. Wifi with multiple televisions so keep you entertained. A beauitful big kitchen with everything youd need to cook. Comfy couches and multiple sleeping areas. The stay was nice and the host was even better. Very eager to help and make sure we were taken care of on our trip. 10 stars!

Firefly Haven is a gem, nestled in a quiet and beautiful area. The property was very well kept, fully stocked and exceeded our expectations. Very comfortable. We will rent this property again next time we are in the area.

Lovely cabin

We love the location and try to come as much as we can. This is our first time in this cabin and it was great, comfortable beds, spacious and well equipped kitchen, but most of all, the bed swing and hot tub!
