We found a paradise

If you are looking for great hosts and a quiet, beautiful retreat in the countryside which is decorated with much love for interior details you will absolutely adore this place. It is situated in a fantastic landscape setting with view to the sea and an open sky with a multitude of stars visible at night. On top of all the cuddly, friendly dog soon felt like a family member. Highly recommended! Don’t miss!

Wunderschönes Haus - weit abgelegen

Das Haus ist sehr schön und geräumig. Hier kann man die Stille wirklich genießen. Die Ruhe hat allerdings den Preis, dass man ca. 25 min. in die Stadt fährt über eine waghalsige kurvenreiche und enge Zufahrtstrasse. Teilweise über Schotter. Aus der Anzeige selbst ist nicht wirklich ersichtlich, dass es sich eigentlich um eine Art Doppelhaushälfte handelt, wobei der Besitzer inkl. Hund in der zweiten Hälfte wohnt. Dies erwies sich allerdings als ein Glücksfall, denn wir haben den Kontakt zu Gerry und ihrem Hund Pili als sehr vorteilhaft empfunden. Gerne haben wir mit ihr geplaudert und sind mit ihrem Hund spazieren gegangen. Gerry ist sehr hilfsbereit ohne dabei aufdringlich zu sein. Insgesamt ein sehr schöner Ort um einen Urlaub in Stille zu verbringen, wenn man die beschwerliche Anfahrt in Kauf zu nehmen bereit ist.

Casa muy bonita, ubicación algo incómoda

Estuvimos en Algarrobo azul una semana, en familia (8 personas, siendo 5 adultos y 3 niños). La comunicación con Gerry fue en todo momento muy fluida y su atención muy amable. Pudimos ubicar cómodamente camas para todos, sus indicaciones para quedar fueron precisas y su atención siempre muy esmerada! La casa es amplia y bien decorada, las camas cómodas y hay muchas toallas tanto para baño como para piscina. En cambio no tanto menaje… platos justos y las sartenes convendría cambiarlas. En cuanto a la ubicación, aunque se habla de 5 km a Almuñécar eso realmente es al punto de encuentro, la carretera es tremendamente compleja, con muchas curvas, subidas y bajadas, estrecha y sin quitamiedos en la mayoría de tramos, esto hace que no resulte cómodo bajar a diario a por pan, a hacer compra, a la playa o a disfrutar de un paseo. En este sentido no la consideraria de nuevo como casa para alquilar en verano con intención de ir a la playa. Por último, en alguna opinión del anuncio se indicaba que los dueños viven en la casa de al lado pero eso es inexacto. La realidad es que es la misma casa, misma edificación y hasta se comparte terraza, y piscina, que los dueños usan discretamente cuando los alquilados no están o no la están utilizando. Esto no es problema pero debería ser expresamente indicado (bed&breakfast) al igual que la existencia de un perro de los dueños, para evitar sorpresas. En resumen, todo bien pero deberían quedar más claros estos puntos, que afectan al precio.

Great house, remote but still a lot to explore, if you are ok driving

We really enjoyed the 2 weeks at this house. There was everything we needed for our family and the dog, beautifully designed rooms, where you can see and feel that this was made with love and not just to meet its purpose. The bathrooms are very modern as well as the bedrooms. The kitchen has all it needs, the only thing we missed was an oven, since we realized how much food we apparently actually prepare in an oven. But we used the outside BBQ/grill instead. We enjoyed the pool as it was still warm enough during October. The road to the house had different ratings in our family, as one of my boys does not enjoy winding rads as much, and there are 8km of such before getting to the house from Amunecar and my mother in law was a bit frightened of this road. But I did not think it was that bad. And having this ride far away from the city actually provides with the silence we were looking for, as you actually hear nothing but one or the other cricket, when sitting outside in the evening. From here we explored the places you can reach within 1,5 hours by car, such as Granada or Malaga. Gerry was very helpful whenever we needed something and provided good recommendations for our day trips. She was also find when we left our dog at the house for one or the other trip, which also gave everyone a better feeling leaving him back there for a few hours. All in all, an enjoyable stay. You need to be ok with small winding streets, but we found exactly what we were looking for.

Paraíso de paz en Almuñecar

Espectacular casa, casi en lo más alto de una de las laderas que rodean Almuñecar. La casa es sencillamente maravillosa. Con una piscina estupenda, la casa tiene 3 preciosas habitaciones con cama de matrimonio, aire acondicionado y baño propio todas ellas en la planta de arriba (Ruiseñor, Mochuelo y Golondrinas) y una pequeña pero más que suficiente cocina americana junto a un gran salon donde descansar, con un sofá convertible donde pueden dormir otras 2 personas en la planta de abajo. Desde la cama al despertar se ve el mar desde dos de las habitaciones. Eso sí, la carretera para acceder es de las que quitan el hipo. Hay que ir muy muy despacio y nada de alcohol encima porque necesitas todos los sentidos para circular por ella. Estrecha, asfalto irregular y mejor no mirar a los lados.... Aún así, merece mucho la pena subir para disfrutar de esta preciosa villa. El trayecto, aunque corto, lleva 15 minutos para llegar al centro urbano de Almuñecar y la playa. Mención especial a Gerry, que encantada nos ayudó en todo. Siempre con una sonrisa y una amabilidad inmensa, acompañada de su perrita y que vive en la casa anexa, pero no resta para nada intimidad y es una tranquilidad saber que está ahí para lo que puedas necesitar. En fin, la casa y Gerry merecen cada una de las 5 estrellas porque no les puedo dar 6. Podría seguir escribiendo, pero necesitaría demasiado espacio.... Si buscáis un sitio bonito, agradable, y tranquilo para descansar de tanta playa y ver las estrellas en las noches despejadas, sin duda este es el lugar....Tranquilidad y privacidad en estado puro. Gerry fue muy atenta y se adaptó en varias ocasiones a nuestras necesidades. El trato con ella ha sido inmejorable, muy simpática y amable. La casa es tal cual sale en las imágenes del anuncio, y está bastante bien que tenga un baño en cada habitación. El ambiente de la casa tanto por dentro como por fuera es muy bonito, y las vistas desde allí son increíbles. Pero recomendamos tener coche propio para ir, y a ser posible llevar la compra en una sola vez; ya que la casa se encuentra alejada por un camino estrecho y de curvas. En resumen, muy recomendable si queréis pasar unos días de desconexión total en plena naturaleza.
