Alnwick stay June 2025

We spent a very enjoyable week at the Lionsgate apartment. Perfect location for seeing Alnwick and touring local areas. The apartment is very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Everything you need provided. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely apartment and great location

We had a lovely long weekend stay at Lionsgate - apartment was in an ideal location overlooking the castle and close to bars and restaurants. It was clean and very well appointed and would recommend.

Brilliant Location

Wonderful location opposite Alnwick castle. Local shops and restaurants at the end of the road. It was so nice we stayed extra days. Lovely hosts who are very accommodating will definitely return to explore more of Northumberland which is amazing. Highly recommend this property.

An amazing place to stay!

The apartment was right opposite Alnwick Castle which was perfect for us. There was a lovely welcome pack which was appreciated! The apartment was super clean and decorated to a high standard. Communication with Lynn and Peter was great. Thanks for a lovely stay. ☺️

Apartment in central Alnwick

The property is really nice and is in a fantastic location in the centre of Alnwick. It is very easy to eat at any of the lovely restaurants in central Alnwick and even though there is no dedicated parking space, we never had a problem getting parked. Alnwick is a lovely little town and the locals are very friendly and although there seems to be a lot of tourists it never seemed too busy. All the other Northumberland towns we visited also make it very easy to park and explore and all have their own mix of restaurants which will satisfy all tastes.We thoroughly recommend anyone to visit this part of the country and if you do travel as a couple then Lionsgate view is a beautiful place to stay.

Location, location

Alnwick castle is just steps away, so a great view out the window. You have created a wonderful “home away from home” for visitors to Alnwick and area. We were greeted with a lovely welcome tray of treats, wine and a personal postcard - nice touches indeed. A new, well equipped kitchen. Great communication leading up to our stay and the information binder that is available in the apartment is very detailed. Thank you for the parking pass - much appreciated. Overall an exceptional place to stay and would highly recommend.

Perfect property

Having stopped in this property several years ago it has undergone a new kitchen and bathroom and modernised its furniture. Adequate crockery and utensils although a super sensitive fire alarm went off with just the toaster. A lovely welcome pack is waiting for you. The position of the property is easy walking into the main town centre and parking available nearby with the permits left available to use. All in all a comfortable stay.

Very comfortable and well equipped apartment for 2 people. In a great location in Alnwick with the additional benefit of parking close by. Many attractions of Northumberland within easy driving distance of Alnwick. Alnwick Castle itself is a must visit during your stay.
