You will stay in the countryside near the Brabant village of Alphen. In Alphen, you will find a good supermarket, some restaurants, and a bicycle rental. Peace seekers can enjoy the Chaamse and Alphen forests. These forests are centuries old. Marshy grasslands, streams, and heaths with fens characterize the area. Agricultural areas are restored to their former state in this region. As a result, fens and marshes with clearings are once again created, providing beautiful views. If you want to go hiking or cycling, you will undoubtedly get your money's worth here. Many routes are well signposted.

In warm weather, you can go swimming at recreational lake 't Zand. The attraction and Safari park Beekse Bergen and recreation park Efteling are good for a fun day out.

Just under 6 km away is the border village of Baarle Nassau. This particular enclave is in the Netherlands but has no fewer than 30 Belgian enclaves. Super unique. The Ruben House and various beautiful museums make a visit worthwhile even in bad weather.
