Nice hotel centrally located in downtown.

Great, smaller hotel conveniently located in the center of Alta. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this property over the chain hotels in town, for sure.

The hotel was just right in the town centre so very convenient and restaurants just couple of minutes away. Rooms are comfortable and cosy. Breakfast is very good. We were given a packed one as our flight was very early in the morning.

One night in Alta

Very nice hotel with big rooms in a good location. The staff was amazing helpful and the service was great. We was checking out before breakfast, but they made breakfast for takeaway so we could bring it with us. If I go back to Alta, I will for sure come back to this hotel.

Not the last time I have stayed in Canyon Hotel

I stayed for 4 nights in canyon hotel in Alta. The owner really takes care of you, and making a really good atmosphere and made my stay a good experience. Really nice breakfast every morning, and even that I arrived late at night, the owner called to inform about the entrance. This is not the last time I have visited canyon hotel in Alta.

Underrated hotel

This hotel is vastly underrated. It's really cute, quiet and lots of bonus amenities not mentioned (discounts at local restaurants, gift shop, etc.) I stayed at another local hotel in Alta when I returned from my excursions, and Canyon cost less, but was much nicer. If I return to Alta, I would absolutely stay here again.

Central location and good breakfast

We as family of 4 stayed in a room. The room was comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Hotel is right in the centre of the city and very conveniently located. Bust stop is just about 150 metres away and it took 15 minutes by bus from the airport. Amfi Mall is right near the hotel and several shops and eateries are around the hotel. The hotel is a good value for money with friendly and helpful staff.

For short stay ok!

Room booked for one night. Check-in went smoothly, room quickly located, it was clean. The beds are small. Instead of single beds, we got small queen-size bed. The neighbors can be heard very well, not only when sexual activities are taking place. I would only spend a maximum of one night here, for longer stays, I'd choose a different hotel.

We stayed here 3 nights. First- if you are considering going to Alta- do it. This was our favorite location during our two week trip to Norway. The "downtown" area is one pedestrian street the equivalent of 4 blocks. The Canyon sits almost right in the center. There is an indoor shopping center almost across from the hotel which gave us some nice escape from the cold. Anything you may need is there- it was also just fun to walk around. The hotel is very nice with a wonderful restaurant on the first floor, that also served free breakfast. The rooms are large, clean and well appointed. The staff was wonderful and helpful. If you are going to Alta and are looking for a great place to stay you will not be disappointed in the Canyon

I liked the hotel, it's not too big, is located in the center of the city, nice clean rooms, nice beds, good breakfast (there is what you need) would though have preferred the breakfast was open until 10 AM on weekdays, nice people at the reception and the staff is very helpful (especially the German lady from Berlin). However I will most likely not stay at the hotel another time because of the poor internet. In the room there's a nice big flat screen TV, but there's no TV channels. Instead there's a ChromeCast attached to the TV so you can cast from your device to the TV. It's okay by me as an Android user, but I wonder about iPhone/iPad users. The problem is that the internet connection is very unstable and fluctuates between 0,5 Mb/s - 6 Mb/s. As a result viewing e.g. live TV on your iPad (e.g. NRK 1), there's a lot of reloads, connection lost etc. This even though there's a Wi-Fi device on the other side of the door. You can argue that you are not going to Alta in order to watch TV at your hotel room, but there are times where you are tired after a long day and just want to relax watching some TV. Perhaps the entire area has poor internet connectivity. I don't know, but for another time, I would choose another hotel.
