"My family and I have been staying at The Great Escape on Clayton Road for the past four years, and it has become our favorite home away from home. Every visit reminds us why we keep coming back. It’s peaceful, exceptionally clean, comfortable, and truly feels like our own private retreat.From the moment you arrive, you feel at ease. The beds are incredibly comfortable, the home is beautifully maintained, and every amenity you could need is thoughtfully provided. This year, they even added a coffee maker, which was such a wonderful bonus for us.One of the biggest highlights is the breathtaking view. Photos simply cannot capture how beautiful this property really is. If you’re lucky enough to stay over the Fourth of July, you’re in for an unforgettable experience. You can see fireworks and drone shows across San Jose from the property, making it one of the most spectacular places to celebrate the holiday.I also love that there is a piano in the house. As someone who enjoys playing, it makes every stay even more special. The heated pool is fantastic, and having a sauna is another luxury that sets this place apart. The surrounding countryside, with horses grazing nearby, creates a peaceful atmosphere that’s hard to find so close to the city. Most importantly, Mason is an exceptional host. He is always quick to respond, genuinely cares about his guests, and goes above and beyond to make every stay memorable. Can’t wait to be back and make more memories with my family."

"Wonderful space, very well maintained.Some suggestions -Keep coffee filtersCheck some of the bathroom sinks and baths that didn’t have enough drainageOtherwise a simply wonderful and well hosted home. Spacious and very comfortable. The backyard deer were an amazing feature!Thank you!"

"What I liked was the fact that I was given a refund due to certain circumstances. Depending on where they put you, it can be very noisy and chaotic or on a side where it is very quiet. What I didn’t like is the parking. It’s always full and I have to worry about someone vandalizing my car just for the fun of it."

"We are a wonderful stay for close to 20 folks. Weather played spoilsport, but we got one day to enjoy the beautiful outdoors. Many different seating areas outside, each one with spectacular views. Played some outdoor games that are already set up.Bedrooms were comfortable. Had to reach out to the hosts for certain supplies, and it was resolved promptly. However, would have been smoother for the guests if there were checks done prior for soap, shampoo, cutlery etc. The supplies cabinets could be labelled or there could be a folder with some information that tells folks what is where, so we dont have to go on a treasure hunt :)Also, there is an annoying fly problem in the living area and kitchen. Some fly swatters available that we happened to find in some drawers while searching for other supplies. But if something could be done about that, it would make for a greater stay.Thank you."
