  • Welcome to your historic holiday and leisure home in the centre of Großbodungen

    You are viewing the listing for our "Wolkenjuwel"—a small holiday apartment in the attic of our castle that sleeps up to 5 people.
    The apartment features a separate bedroom with a double bed and a single bed, a living/sleeping area with a magnificent view over the rooftops of the half-timbered village towards the South Harz countryside, a small kitchenette, and a large bathroom with a shower—also offering a great view.

    Our castle complex can accommodate 8– (starting in summer 2026) 25 people

    Location: Quiet and rural in the southern Harz Mountains, near the A38 highway (Breitenworbis exit, approx. 10 km). Centrally located in Germany, ideal for group trips and family reunions.

    Surroundings: In the idyllic triangle between the legendary Harz Mountains, the picturesque Eichsfeld, and the imposing Kyffhäuser. Numerous attractions are within about 30 minutes’ reach. Motorcyclists and cyclists are warmly welcome.

    Activities: Perfect for nature lovers, for relaxation, or as a starting point for a wide variety of activities such as hiking, visiting castles and palaces, historic churches and half-timbered buildings, caves, mines, attractions for children, and wellness.
