The old granite house is located on the left bank of the Tâmega River.
The property was completely restored in 2012, respecting the original architecture, being endowed with all the comfort requirements.
All the space by the house and pool you can have stunning views of the river and its green banks.
The house has an excellent sun exposure, with all rooms and rooms facing south / west.
So they can enjoy maximum comfort in all seasons, all rooms are equipped with hot / cold air conditioning. There is also a fireplace in the main room.
Outside you can make grilled on bbq. and baked in a wood oven. You can also enjoy the magnificent climate cooling down in the pool.
The house consists of two floors. Previously the bottom floor was for the winery and agricultural activities and higher housing floor. After the refurbishment, the whole building began to be intended only to housing.
Thus, the house consists of lounge with sitting area and dining room, kitchen, 1 double bedroom and en-suite on the ground floor. On the 1st floor there are two double bedrooms, two bathrooms and a large mezzanine with two sofa beds.
Over the 15 000m2 property can enjoy the greenery and the very landscape of this area, as well as waterfalls.
The historic town of Amarante is only 4km and worth a visit to the historic sites. Also throughout the region the cuisine is of a rich and highly appreciated regional sweets.
The city of Porto is only 60km, 30 minutes with direct access by motorway. Be sure to visit the capital of the North and the Port wine cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia.

Fantastisk sted med en bedårende beliggenhed. Eneste der kan trække lidt ned i den sammenhæng er den larmende Aqua Park på den anden side af floden. Super charmerende hus og suverænt pool område. Alt i alt en rigtig dejlig ferie.

Mooi vakantieverblijf in Amarante

Het is een fijne vakantiewoning op een mooie plek. De toegangsweg naar de woning is erg steil en smal. De woning is geschikt voor zes volwassenen, niet voor acht! In totaal zijn er 2 kledingkasten, er ontbreekt een kledingkast in een slaapkamer De keuken is goed geoutilleerd. Prettig dat er 3 badkamers zijn echter verlichting in deze badkamers is onvoldoende. We hadden een aantal dagen geen warm water maar de eigenaar heeft dit opgelost. Het zwembad en tuin zijn prachtig. Leuk om fruit en groente uit de tuin te mogen gebruiken. Buiten is mooi overdekt terras waar je prettig kunt eten en vertoeven. Ook is een goede mogelijkheid om te barbecueën. De eigenaar heeft prima gezorgd dat er voor kleine kinderen een babybedje, kinderstoel en speelgoed beschikbaar. De gastvrije welkom met fles port en eigen gebakken koekjes hebben we zeer gewaardeerd. We kijken terug om een mooie vakantie.

Schmuckstück in privilegierter Lage

Vom 24.08. bis zum 31.08.2019 verbrachten wir (2 Erwachsene und 5 Jugendliche) eine traumhafte Woche in diesem wunderschönen Haus. Es handelt sich um ein altes Bauernhaus, welches in den letzten Jahren aufwändig renoviert wude und in technischer Hinsicht nichts zu wünschen übrig lässt. Auch die Küche ist hervorragend ausgestattet. Vermisst habe ich lediglich einen Silikonpinsel zum einölen des zu grillenden Gemüses aus dem hauseigenen Garten sowie ein Knoblauchpresse aber das ist wirklich jammern auf hohem Niveau ;-)) Die Besitzer sind eine Seele von Mensch: jederzeit erreichbar, freundlich, entgegenkommend und hilfsbereit. Sei es nun eine Wegbeschreibung, weil die Navi-Software die offiziell angegebene Adresse nicht kennt... oder die Flasche Portwein und ein selbstgebackener Kuchen zur Begrüssung... oder mega-schnelle Abhilfe bei der Behebung eines Defekts an der Hauselektrik infolge eines Blitzeinschlags. Das Anwesen ist in einem top gepflegten, tadellosen Zustand und sieht wirklich genau so aus wie auf den Fotos. Das absolute Highlight ist jedoch die Lage: oben am Hang über dem Flußtal gelegen mit einem wundervollen Ausblick, sei es nun von der Terrasse aus, vom Pool oder aus der Hängematte. Der in anderen Bewertungen erwähnte Wasserpark auf der gegenüberliegenden Flußseite ist akkustisch zwar wahrnehmbar, allerdings nur sehr sporadisch und in einem für uns nicht störenden Ausmaß. Während unseres Aufenthaltes war sporadisch hin- und wieder mal der eine oder andere dienstbare Geist anwesend (z.B. Gärtner, Poolpflege) aber alles sehr dezent und kaum wahrnehmbar. Das Haus bietet eine gute Ausgangsbasis für Tagesausflüge in die Region (35 Minuten nach Porto sowie etliche lohnende Reiseziele in einem Radius von ca. einer Stunde Fahrtzeit). Wir haben den Urlaub sehr genossen und werden mit Sicherheit noch einmal wiederkommen.

Das Haus verfügt über eine nicht zu übertreffende Ausstattung. Die Vermieter sind freundlich und unkompliziert. Es liegt wunderschön über dem Tamega-Fluss ,Ruhe pur.

Maison idéale pour des vacances en famille

Nous avons passé 2 semaines inoubliables dans cette belle région du Portugal. Superbe maison : très fonctionnelle, très bien équipée et décorée avec goût par la propriétaire. Et que dire du grand et beau jardin et des légumes du potager mis à notre disposition ! Et la piscine à débordement avec vue imprenable sur le fleuve, que du bonheur ! D'autant plus qu'il a fait beau tous les jours. Il sera difficile de trouver une location d'u tel niveau pour nos prochaines vacances... Obrigada ! Quelle vue splendide.

La maison est adorable avec beaucoup d'avantages - climatisation très appréciable, une piscine impeccable à débordement qui donne sur le fleuve tel que l'on la voit sur la photo, une belle décoration, des douches puissantes avec beaucoup d'eau chaude, une bonne literie. En ce qui concerne le parc aquatique, oui, on se demande comment on a pu accorder un permis de construire à cette chose qui est une vraie plaie dans le paysage. En arrivant, on se pose la question par rapport au bruit, mais honnêtement, en dehors de deux ou trois fois (10-15 minutes) dans la journée où il y a une sorte de folie, on entend à peine des cris et des rires. Ce ne serait certainement pas une raison de ne pas venir profiter de cet endroit superbe.

Lovely house not too far from Porto

We spent a very nice week here at the end of June. Greeted by Eduardo and his parents who had provided cake and a bottle of port. Nothing was too much trouble - Eduardo doing the translating. The polytunnel garden below the property is for the use of guests and we loved picking vegetables, salad and the strawberries. The pool is very nice and well maintained, and the house and pool have good and interesting views onto the river. The water-park opposite was not too intrusive, and we had all our evening meals outside in a lovely tranquil setting. The house details were a little unclear regarding the bathrooms, but each of the three double bedrooms has its own well equipped bathroom with decent showers and plenty of hot water, Choice of two decent sized supermarkets in Amarante nearby - Intermarche and Continental. Continental was a bit easier to get to and better stocked. Amarante was a very nice town (our favourite of the towns we visited in the area), not too big, and with good restaurants. Overall - highly recommended if you want to stay near here, and thank you Miquelina.
