"The first time I stayed in Manaus was 43 years ago, when I stayed in the "original" Tropical Hotel. It was the best hotel in town back then, and as far as I am concerned this new version still is the best Manaus has to offer. It's location can't be beat! Right on the river with fantastic views in any direction you choose to look."

"Very welcoming, great home cooked food, they share their knowledge and love of the animals and vegetation with you. Be prepared to be out in the heat! Lovely cabins with private beds, air conditioning and bathrooms! Highly recommend who can do the 186 stairs to the water "
