"Nothing was too much trouble for this hotel. One of the reception staff even gave advise on walks from the hotel door. Our room was superb and definitely lived up to our expectations having read the positive reviews from other travellers. "

"Our stay at Victorian House was really nice. The staff are very friendly and helpful and our room was very pleasing. The interiors of the house are beautifully curated and we particularly enjoyed being so well located with parking and the lovely breakfast we were served. The only thing that would improve the stay would be new tvs in the rooms but this is minor. We're very much looking forward to returning, excellent stay and great value for money."

"Perfectly placed in a quiet spot on the edge of Grasmere with stunning views. Lots of walks from the doorsteps of the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful, took our luggage, took an interest into our stay, couldn’t fault the service. Breakfast set up was good with a range of cooked options included in the breakfast price. Had one meal at the restaurant, nice setting and atmosphere, professional service, food was decent slightly underwhelming however given the reputation of the restaurant. Spa was small but rarely busy, great for relaxing in after a day out walking. Room was a little tired, in need of renovation, but a good size and very comfortable. Smart TV was a big plus. Separate bath with its own tv felt luxurious. Overall a lovely stay "

"Wateredge Inn, Ambleside We stayed at the Wateredge Inn in October for one night and really liked it. The location is perfect, right by the water, and the room was lovely with an incredibly comfortable bed. Everything felt nicely done and welcoming. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was very good too. We’d happily stay here again and definitely recommend it to others."

"Rothay Garth is a really lovely guest house. From check in with Nick to the staff who served breakfast. Everyone was super friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Located opposite the Park where there is crazy golf, pitch and put and tennis courts, and a short walk into Ambleside centre. Very clean bedrooms and a very nice dining room and lounge area. We would definitely stay here again. "
