“The staff is very friendly and helpful. The place is modern and clean as displayed in the picture. A bit of issue is that the parking outside is very limited (open for holiday inn guests) despite we’ve paid for the parking (NZ$15/night) the parking is always full and we need to go in to reception desk to ask the stuff to open the basement and use the staff parking over there. I believe the hotel should control the number of parking permits issued to guests so to make sure this won’t happen……

“Easily one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. The rooms balance honoring the Victorian history, with modern comforts. Our room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom modern.
