We really enjoyed the location, you can easily walk to the market, the train and subway stations are nearby, and there are plenty of places to rent a bike, enjoy a nice meal, or simply grab a good coffee. The neighborhood was lovely, and the location felt perfect. I do wish the hotel had a rooftop, as I could see the sunset from my window and it would have been wonderful to experience it from there. Overall, the hotel was clean, had a pleasant scent, and the staff was very helpful. The only downside was that I was charged the city tax twice: once upon arrival and again on my departure date. This could have been avoided if the system had been updated right away.

Great location and hotel.

Great hotel! We were welcomed with a lovely glass of Prosecco. The hotel was really modern. It had what looked to be a great restaurant attached to it but it was fully booked so didn’t get to try! The room had everything it needed. I loved the area, had great vibe to it feel like a local area but still only 4 mins to central by the metro. I also loved the little gift they provided on departure. Great touch!

Highly recommend to stay here.. Mattress was extremely comfortable , and the reception were able to recommend a few local restaurants to dine in, as their in house Japanese restaurant was fully booked . Definitely will be coming back .

Amazing hotel! Location is great, very close to the Pijp subway station, close to many restaurants and museums. Rooms are well maintained and the shower is one of the best I have found in hotels lately (very important after a tiring day of tourism or work). Furthermore, the staff is a delight to deal with. Best thing: they provide infinite bottles of great mineral water (sparkling or still) to all guests! It is amazing, truly loved that amazing perk! Thanks for the great service, Sir Albert. Will definitely come back whenever in Amsterdam!

Great stay in Amsterdam!

A wonderful boutique style hotel in spite of high capacity: very well equipped, super comfortable and positioned rooms (we stayed in 240 facing the courtyard), fantastic service, and unbeatable location close to transportation and all attractions but yet away from downtown hassle. Highly recommend it!

Comfortable room and good service

Front desk very helpful. Got me a housecall from a GP when i was ill. Extra charges such as laundry or room service are very high. Comfortable room with good bed and non synthetic pillows. Cleaners sometimes forgot to replenish coffee pods and creamer.

I booked through Expedia, while I am a titanium member for bonvoy-Marriott, so when I find out they were a bonboy member, I asked to be my number to be register, in order to get my benefits, they said because I booked through Expedia, they can not do that, so I had not benefits with a chain of hotels that am very loyal The rooms were extremely small, the reception employees were extremely slow, and not helpful at all Reception space for clients is very small Gym was terrible, and outside from the hotel Not staying there again

Remote working in a fridge

It was a few degrees below freezing in Amsterdam during my one night stay in December. I set my room AC to 28C but the room temp stayed cold, around 10-15C, the entire stay. My indoor dress code included a down jacket and several layers. Turns out the room heating for my room was set to stand by mode from the central control system… one would think these things are checked upon check-in. Two days after the freezing experience I’m down with a cold and bad cough. Breakfast was good.

First of all, the pictures are deceiving. We were supposed to have a city view with the deluxe room and a skylight. The windows in our room faced the alleyway looking into other apartments. If you're booking there for the air conditioning, forget about it! The lobby is cool and air-conditioned but there is no cool air coming out of the vents in the room and it was hot as blazes! In addition, we were overcharged for a breakfast we never had and received additional unknown charges after checking out! Also, the staff at Izakaya are homophobic/transphobic as they asked my 24 year old to leave the restaurant under the pretense they were not conforming to the "dress code" as they had "sportswear" on while other guests were in jeans and shorts!!!

One of the nicest hotel stays I have ever experienced. Staff was professional and accommodating, perfect location with dozens of dining options all within a 5 minute walk. Half a block from the metro. The beds were extremely comfortable and the entire facility was very clean. This hotel is highly rated and I would stay here again next time I visit Amsterdam! A+++
